Question
How to use Soft Lights?
Just received the palette and I'm unsure of how to use the Soft Lights colors "Lens" and "Shimmer". Does this go over all your make-up?

Soft lights would be more of a hilighting effect, apply it on the highest point of the cheekbones.

i think you'd mostly use it as a highlighter. they're pretty shimmery, i think it'd be too much to have on your entire face

I don't really use Shimmer because it's a little too shimmery. Lens I use as a highlight on the tops of my cheeks and little right above my nose. Definitely not all over unless you want to look like a disco ball! haha

I use them as highters. Or over the blush as a shimmery blush.

answer 5
The soft-lights are actually highlighters. they can be used many ways. I also own this palette, and i know how shimmery they are. Since the shimmer, you would only want to use it on the tops or your cheekbones, your cupids-bow and down the bridge of your nose. If you use it all over your face, you will seem very glittery, and depending on your age, slight childish. Hope i helped!

answer 6
They are intended to be highlighters. Use them on your cheeks, tip of your nose, inner corners of eyes & brow bones or anywhere else you would like to catch a little light. You can also use them as and all over shadow if you are in a hurry or sweep them over all of your blush to tone it down if you you apply heavily on accident! You will love them when you get used to using them!!

In my first one, an eyeshadow fell out. The next one was cracked and wouldn't close. However, customer service is great at Sephora. Put it back in the box with the return labels, give them a call, and they will send you a new one free of charge within the next few days.

answer 4
The palette itself is fairly big. It's the size of one of those composition notebooks...so somewhat large but it still fits in my travel caddy. The shadows are slightly smaller than full size, but definitely not small. The blushes are the size if a compact blush from say a drugstore... So again, generous... The liners are plenty big and the highlighters are full size product worth. Overall, I think the product to price point is absolute a value. The colors are truly beautiful and blend well... The highlighters are gORGEOUS on! If your on the fence, don't be... I'm buying another just in case!

Question
Where are blushes and the bronzer and the soft lights?
I understand that to my left of the palette there are 28 eye shadows and on my right on the top there are eyeliners. But I am confused in this picture which ones are the bronzer, blush and soft lights.

Right hand side of the palette contains 5 blushes and 1 bronzer (the 6 colors in the middle. The bronzer is the color in the middle of the bottom row of blushes). The very bottom of the right side of the palette are the two highlights.

Question
Similarity to Smashbox Studio Pop Palette?
I already have the Smashbox Studio Pop Ultimate Palette. Is Master Class II worth it for me? I hear there's a lot of overlap between Master Class I and II but I haven't been able to find a Studio Pop Ultimate vs. Master Class II.

From what I can tell there are 9 repeat shadows Opal(white w/pink pearl), Anchor(shimmery grey/silver) Ultramarine(shimmery deep blue) Obsidian(shimmery black) Ambient(shimmery gold) Nectar(matte peach) Peacock(light shimmery blue/teal) Champagne(shimmery champagne) & Aubergine(matte deep purple). You also have Lens and Warm Apricot on the face side & Picasso(blue) and Caviar(black) liners. So, there are 19 eyeshadows you don't already own, 4 blushes, 1 bronzer, 1 highlight, & 2 liners. The trios alone are $28 and you're essentially getting 5 'trios' you don't already own... I think it's worth it, but it's up to you!
