Questions & Answers for SEPHORA COLLECTION Classic Multitasker Powder Brush #45

good for liquid formulas?
I prefer light coverage foundations (currently YSL touche eclat or Nars sheer glow). I was recommended this brush for my liquids. But I noticed it says it is made for mineral powders. Is there anyone who uses this for sheer liquids and how does it work? Thanks!!! :)

I use this brush for my Urban Decay Naked foundation (which has a light coverage formula) and the brush gives me a natural look.

It works great. I don't like to feel or wear a lot of make up and this gives you the ability to go light or build layers if you need to

I use this brush for liquids: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and Shiseido BB cream. It works great! The brush is super soft and leaves a really natural finish! I also wash mine at least twice a week. I've had it for a few months now and so far no shedding!

I use it for Urban Decay's Naked liquid foundation and it works well. I pat it onto the foundation I squirted out to get a little on the brush and work it around my face. It makes for an airbrushed look.

The brush works well for liquid foundations but I would highly recommend you dot the foundation onto your face with your fingers and then use the brush to buff/blend it in, so that you don't end up losing a lot of product into the brush. If you want a really terrific brush for liquid foundation, I would suggest either the Sephora #55 or 56 (the 56 is a bit smaller, which I prefer as I find it gives me better control and reaches into the corners of my nose better than the larger #55). Or try the Shiseido foundation brush - that one is the best I've ever used!

I would not recommend this for liquid foundations. Moisture might get inside brush and would lead to bristles falling out. Get a brush that is meant for liquids. I recommend the SEPHORA COLLECTION
Classic Must Have Foundation Brush #10. Same price, same company, just meant for your liquids :) LINK:

Hi Wintery,

This brush will work great for liquid products. It is made with synthetic fibers that will allow the foundation to go on smoothly.

no dont use this brush for blush or bronzer. the bristles are too tight for that you should use a bush with the bristles more fannd out opt for one with a dome shape or slanted. This brush works wonders for mineral or loose powder foundation nothin else

I would recommend this brush for pressed powder, and try and steer clear from using loose powder or blush unless you plan on spending a fair amount of time blending.

answer 3
Not really, unless you really blend your blush
answered 7 months ago
answer 4
I use it for both. I apply blush with a separate blush brush and then blend it with this brush. It blend perfectly.
answered 8 months ago
answer 5
Yes, this brush is appropriate for both. It's a fairly small head, so it works well for blush as well as all over application of powder.

answer 6
Personally I use it with blush. It does a good job of really buffing it out and blending. It also works alright with powder foundation, however for products like that, I prefer a larger fluffier brush.

No, there is not, and it's rounded on the end so it won't stand up on a counter.

aside from the plastic packaging there is no cover for this brush. I have my makeup brushes stored in a separate cosmetics pouch but you can always count on pinterest for nifty ideas on how to store your brushes

Does this brush shed a lot? Is it good for bronzer?
I've purchased a sephora brush before and it sheds SOO much, so I was wondering if this brush has the same issue. I also wanted to know if this would be good to use as a bronzer brush? I've been trying find the perfect bronzer brush and haven't had much luck. ):

This brush does not shed. If it did, I would return it immediately. Shedding is one of my beauty pet peeves because I feel that we spend money on these brushes, they cannot re-grow their bristles and therefore should stay put. You could use this brush as a bronzer brush. I prefer a pro contouring brush that is angled because it is easier for me to use, but that is totally up to you:)

From the two that I have bought before, I did not have a shedding problem! Even with the scrubbing I did with it to get my makeup out the bristles stayed in place. I also share a similar experience with you though. I bought a Sephora kabuki brush and after the first wash, about a third of the hairs started shedding one by one and even after it dried, it was still shedding when I tried to use it to press powder onto my face. As a bronzer brush, I think it might be a bit too heavy/dense.

No it doesn't shed which was also an issue I've had with other brushes; it's my go-to brush for all over powder and in great condition after 2yrs of usage (I do wash it with soap/water) so worth the price. You won't be disappointed!

This brush is great quality and does not shed much at all. We do not recommend using this brush for bronzer. If you are looking for a great bronzer brush, we recommend trying Sephora Collection's Pro Flawless Bronzer Brush #46, a comparable product available on our website.
