I still use the mitt to apply to my hands and feet. I use the mitt to rub in the product to one hand and then my feet; really helps to get it on smoothly around the fingers and toes, so you don't any tell-tale signs that you used a sunless tanner. Then, that gives the one hand time to dry, so I can put the mitt on that hand to apply the product to the other hand. Anyway, that's my approach; hope it helps!

I use a wedge makeup sponge to apply to my hands and face (with any self tanner I use). Apply petroleum jelly to your nails (hand and foot. This will keep your cuticles and skin around your nails from absorbing any color. Use a light touch, and make sure you are well exfoliated. Sometimes I will apply a light film of moisturizer to my ankles and knuckles before applying to keep them from getting too dark.
