Hi, thanks for your question!
The Flash&Go Freedom and the Flash&Go both use the same award winning HPL technology, providing the same great results!
The original Flash&Go (Purple device) cartridges are not compatible with the Flash&Go Freedom. But not to worry, you can still buy both refill cartridges online at Sephora.com .

You can buy the refill cartridges for the Silk'n Flash & Go (original, purple top) at the Silk'n website - no problem. The original Flash & Go works wonderfully and has changed my life, for real. I haven't tried the new Freedom bc the original works great for me, but wanted to pass along the good word. I can wear shorts or jump in a swimsuit for a swim any time I like without any concern about hairy legs or stubble. Read the guidance - light skin with dark hair works best.

If you buy one, buy this new one. Cartridges for the original are difficult to find and perhaps on track for extinction. Don't buy the original. Also, save your reciept

Question
How is this one different from the other?
I bought one by the same name in January. It is the same shape and design, but not pink on top like this one. Is it just restyled, or does it operate differently? Also will these replacement cartridges work in my original?

The freedom has 5,000 pulses.
I have almost finished my treatments (I did my legs, bikini, arms, under arms) and I haven't needed to replace my 1st cartridge.
I am starting to do my bf back, so maybe then I will need one more, but so far so good.

The device did come with a cartridge, but I bought an extra to be on the safe side. The booklet gives you an expected number of uses, but I don't have that in front of me right now.

It hurts over my tattoo, but it doesn't hurt over my scar. (My scar is about 1 1/2 by 1/2 inch, and is the same color as my skin or a little lighter.)

You treat the same way: Once every two weeks for roughly 4 to 6 treatments (although some users have found great results as quick as two). After that it becomes maintenance as needed.

Hi, thanks for your question!
Treatments work best on dark hair types, or hair that contains more melanin. Melanin is the pigment that gives hair and skin its color, and will absorb light energy. Black and dark brown respond the best, although light brown hairs will also respond but typically require a few extra treatments. Red may show some response. White, grey or blonde hairs usually don't respond as well to treatments, though some users have noted results after multiple treatments.

no. The light pulses seek out pigment, so,it will not 'see' your fair hair. Even professional treatment will not do it. If you must permanently rid of hair, professional electrolysis is the way to go. Also, over time, an epilator or waxing damages the follicle enough to prevent regrowth. (Like brow plucking)

Hi, thanks for your question!
Our Flash&Go Freedom users have experienced excellent results treating facial areas from the cheekbones down. Please note when treating with the Freedom Flash&Go, it is important to wear high SPF sunscreen. The Flash&Go freedom targets pigment in the hair follicle, so it will be successful in targeting light brown to dark hair.
You mentioned medium skin tone, if you are unsure whether your skin tone falls within the suitable range, please refer to your manual or call a Sephora customer service rep for more information.

yes. I've used in around my bikini line and have 80-100% hair removal. I think it works especially well for this area because it is small so you're able to be really consistent which is necessary.
