Question
How is the daily wear for people w/ combination/oily skin?
I use tinted moisturizer, but another brand - it's great on my skin and doesn't leave it greasy or oily looking. I've used Josie's Argan Oil (VERY sparingly at night) and when I wake up in the morning, it's greasy around my nose area.. I'm wondering how this wears during the day for those with combination and oily skin. Will it leave your skin looking greasy and oily as the day progresses? Is this mainly for those with dry skin? Thanks.

I have combination and very sensitive skin. So far, I found if I set it with a bit of her color match compact (applied with a brush, not sponge) or my BE matte foundation powder, I don't get oily at all. The trick is to apply a thin layer with my fingers while my skin is still damp (that makes this much easier to spread).

This product is meant for dry or normal skin people. I used this during the day and have combination to oily skin and I turned oil-faced within 3 hours.

Just a little translucent powder will do to touch up.or her color match powder .other than that it has great staying power and the longer you wear it your skin will normalize itself . In other words adjust itself. :)

I use my fingers but a good brush would be a foundation brush with the white bristles at the top. Elf has a good cheap version that works just as good as the expensive brand.

I use my fingers. It warms up the product and you can really blend it out so it doesn't look like too much. I'm definitely the type that thinks less is more. Hope that helps. Good luck

Is this waterproof?
I'm looking for a tinted moisturizer to wear to the beach, but don't want it to run down my face. How does this hold up at beach/pool!

This tinted moisturizer doesn't hold up at all in day to day situations for me. I can usually only get about 2 hours of nice looking wear with it before it starts disappearing and leaving me very oily. I feel like it would easily "melt" off and give similar results at the beach or near water.

Unfortunately no, it is not moisture proof. However I was advised in store to apply a waterproof sunnscreen beneath to help the product's longevity in the summer.

Question
Fair Shade/Undertone Question
I am fair/light with a little bit of yellow/gold undertone to my skin. (For instance with BE I would use Golden Fair. And for Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer I would use Nude.) I think from what I saw at the store that the lightest color Creme may be for me. The next color is Butter which has now been split into to colors, Light 1 (cool undertones) and Light 2 (warm undertones). My undertones are warm, but I think the Light 2 may be too dark. I was wondering if anyone knew if the Fair/Creme has an undertone to it. I am hoping it is a neutral or yellow based.

The fair 1-creme is definitely yellow based. It was both too yellow and too dark for me, however I'm NW15. So perhaps for you it'd be perfect.

I think light 1 would actually be a good match for you. I think fair would be way too light. The light 1 says for neutral to cool undertones but there is a lot of yellow in it - I think it would work well for you.

Question
Should I wear a primer with this?
I'm a fair redhead with slight pink undertones and have dry skin only in Winter. I just bought this in light 1 and I do really like it but It never fully absorbes into my skin. Should I use a face primer or am I just using to much?

You might be using too much, however you need too if you are using it for you foundation as well. I usually let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and use a setting powder and do not have any issues.

The huge difference is the SPF ingredients. The original contained chemical sunscreens whereas the new, improved formula incorporates a physical SPF of 30! Apparently the original also had a problem with separating which I haven't seen in this new formula.

Question
I was using the old color, butter, and would like to know which of the two new shades, Light 1 or Light 2, is closest to the old shade of Butter.
The old shade of Butter was a perfect match for my skintone (fair with some freckles) so I want to stay as close to the old shade as possible.

I also used butter which was perfect for my Irish/Italian skin color. Neither 1 nor 2 work for me. They are both too yellow. I am so disappointed in the new product. Good luck finding something new. I've read Ole Henricksen has a tinted moisturizer at the same price point. I might give that a try.

I would try med 2, I have was Josie considers light skin, but used med 1 during the summer to give my skin a little color. It's dark, but not too dark and very forgiving. If you have somewhat tan skin, I would try med 2.
