I have the Real Technique blush brush and love it as well, but the Marc Jacobs is full, dense and the bristles are lush and soft. I use the MJ Bronze brush for bronzer and the RT blush brush for blush; honestly if you are deciding between them and had to get only one I would highly recommend the MJ brush because it's versatile and you can use it for anything powder related.

The bristles are about twice the size and twice the density. It's much fuller and softer then the RT blush brush.

Question
Will it keep it's tapered shape?
I adore the shape of this brush that is pictured online. But when I saw the tester in store, it was about three times as big and more of a fanned out ball shape rather than slightly tapered. Was this just due to rough handling of the tester? Or does this brush puff out and lose its shape quickly?

Yes, it will hold its shape. I have owned this brush for 2 years and I throw it in my purse, it still holds its shape perfectly.

answer 2
It was probably because of the rough handling in store. I do keep the little plastic sleeve on mine to keep it in shape and it's still perfect even after months of use.

answer 3
It will lose it's shape and splay out, I would recommend getting a brush guard to store it / use every time you wash it—it will retain the shape much longer :)

It will keep the shape.. The one in the store has probably lived a rough life.. It will expand some but this brush lasts and is worth every penny.

IT cosmetics makes a brush called the Wand Ball Brush that is a spot on dupe for this brush. I have both the MJ and the IT, as well as the Buki Wand Ball brush, I use them about equally and take the Buki when I'm traveling.

No, I actually got this as a birthday gift when I was about your age, and it's totally fine. Because it's tapered slightly at the end, it makes it compatible for any fact shape/size. Love this brush!

Probably yes and it is honestly WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I began wearing makeup at 22 almost 23 and I never worried about makeup when I was that young. Appreciate the days when you can go into public without looking like a ghost!

From tip of the brush to tip of the handle, I'd say it's about 7 1/2 to 8 inches in length.
