It is a nail tint lacquer (a nail polish) that doubles as a treatment to strengthen nails. You should wear it alone on bare natural nails (2 coats) & not use a top coat. It's meant as a standalone product. It makes the pink part of your nails pinker & accentuates the white parts. I have this & it's gr8 for everyday use becoz it virtually does not chip; it makes my nails look healthy & chic very Parisienne. The concept is simple yet brilliant & well executed. (Hate it when good ideas are poorly executed!). I hope Dior never D/C this! It is my fave nail lacquer.

polish meant to be used alone-i used a base coat but definitely skip using a top coat. i think it diminishes the pink/white effect

I was researching this product on beauty blogs and they insisted this is to be worn as a polish (not a top coat) and this product does not require a base/top coat...just two coats and you're done. Hope this helps.

I use it as a base coat or even a stand alone polish. It gives a natural french manicure look when used alone. Makes the pink part pinker and white part of the nail whiter.

It is more of a tinted coat of nail polish. It is meant to be worn alone but I bet you could use it as a top coat to slightly change the color of a polish.

I've never bothered with one, but I chip my polish within days no matter what I'm using (top/base coat or none), so I'm not sure that's helpful. I've found that one layer lasts 4-7 days without top/base coat, so long as I remember to swipe the tip of my nails as well as the top.

Question
Does it seal/protect so nails get stronger ?
I read conflicting reviews re: the color of this polish. Most say this is wonderful & gives apink glow. Others say it looks like any other clear polish? Does this polish make nails look pretty..like anatural french alone. Or does it also protect our nails so they wil grow? IS this anything like "Perfect Formula" which whitens nails, minimizes any yellowiung, and acts as a temporary "suit of armor" so our nails grow underneath? I was hoping this is a treatment as well? Thank you in advance! : ) xoxo

Yes!! Mine can go a week without chipping. My nails are much stronger (they don't split down the middle or break), & healthier appearance looking as well as harder using this. I had lost my OPI Nail Envy so I decided to replace it w this--it's so much better than Nail Envy! I'm not going to replace that, I'll keep buying Dior! This is my HG nail polish so chic & Parisienne. It seals my nails w a hardening agent & lasts over a week w/o chipping. Make certain ur using it correctly: 2 coats on bare natural nails, no top coat. I don't know which ingredient exactly technically is the hardening agent but this is my experience personally Hth :-)

Defiantly not a treatment. It begins chipping in about 2 days.

For me it's not *all that and a bag of chips*. The color is a loverly pink and helps hide any yellowing. However, I find that if I don't reapply it every other day, it chips easily. I doesn't seem to help my nails grow any faster or protect them (see above re: chipping). I'll use it til the end due to the price, but I will not be buying it again. There was another pink polish Sephora sold that worked much better, but I don't believe they carry it anymore.
