I have sensitive skin with rosacea and it stays red most of the time. I use this once or twice a week, and it soothes the skin and reduces the redness. Coupled with some anti-redness formulas, I can actually use just a BB cream and cover what little pinkness is left over.

Our outer layer of skin is able to absorb and handle active ingredients in many masks, but the skin under that is still new and very sensitive. Things like sunburns or open cuts can become irritated because it is fresh, not healed skin.

I had a horrible experience with this product burning my skin. I believe it says not to use it on irritated skin, because the product has what they call a "cooling" sensation. For me, it was a burning sensation. I honestly don't recommend this product to anyone, but if your skin is sensitive, irritated, or red, I would stay away.
It is a moisturizing, cooling and firming mask. I think when it says not to use on irritating skin, it might be referring to any open sores, broken acne or people with sensitive skin conditions such as Rosacea, etc.. If you are concerned with whether or not this might work with your skin, I would advise you call Boscia to get further advice.
