answer 3
No, you apply it on the outer edge of your lips, which creates something like a waxy "wall" or "fence" to keep the lipstick from feathering out onto the rest of your skin.

Question
How to apply?
Does this product go on the edge of your actual lip, like a traditional liner? Or just outside the lips natural border, so as to keep the product from moving beyond the lips?

Just outside the border of your lips. You don't want your lip color feathering, which is what would happen if you applied to your lip line, then put color over top of it.

answer 2
It goes around the outside. It is not meant define or got on the lip itself, like a regular liner. It is applied on the skin, around the lip. It essentially prevents lipstick from traveling off the lip and feathering or moving onto the skin.

I have found that this lipliner works amazingly to prevent feathering when just applied on the outside of the lip. However, I like to apply it all over to make my lipstick super long-lasting (even through eating and drinking!)

I use it as a traditional liner, but since it is clear I'm sure you could use both ways, and it does keep my lipstick from feathering.

Question
Operator error, how do I get the rest of the liner out?
Does the pencil turn to produce more product at the tip? I am not able to get any more than 1/16 out at the end of the pencil which is the way the pencil arrived.

I have a cheap plastic pencil sharpener that works quite well on this and all pencil lip sticks. Check in drug stores or Dollar store till you find the right size.

Question
How to get more more product up?
I accidentally broke the tip off the liner the other day, and when i tried to move the product up to get more, it didn't work. I figured I was supposed to twist the bottom of the pencil, but that's wasn't working. Is there another way, or maybe I just have to turn it many more times? Thanks!

You will never get a fine point with this pencil, and it is quite fragile. I use a NYX sharpener, and it suffices.

I use my Urban Decay sharpener, which works with nearly every pencil. This lip liner, however, is very soft and doesn't like to be sharpened. I'm always a little afraid that the tip will break off, so I don't sharpen it too often or aggressively. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get it to a sharp point, but I'm able to do a good enough job that it hasn't broken and is still very usable.

Question
I can't twist more product
I bought this product a month ago, have used it 4 times and I was told the product can be twisted to bring up more liner. I don't know if mine is broken but it does not twist any more product. I took the white tip off the bottom and there is no way to get any more product out of this liner there is no connection from the white tip to the liner itself. Really disappointed

I use the smaller barrel of my pencil sharpener-- the same one I use for eyeliner. Don't apply pressure inwards towards the sharpener or else you might break the liner! :(
