The floating plates adjust as you style, which allows you to go beyond straightening to create wavy or curly styles. It also prevents tugging and breaking. Engineered for all hair types, the mini is great for touch-ups, bangs, roots, and finishing. This set contains: - Neon Me, Nude You Mini Ceramic Styler - Tribal Carrying Case What else you need to know: The unique 0.5-inch floating plate design with dual-voltage heats up in less than one minute and reaches 400F. All Amika™ tools come with a one-year warranty.

No I wish it was heatproof! I did a test on the material inside and it began to melt.

No, the pouch is for storage/travel once product is fully cooled. It would make a cute clutch too for summer.

Does this come with a warranty?
I purchased this flat iron in store in december of 2012 and I was wondering if it came with a warranty? The plates broke and now I can't use it.

Yes, it will work in Europe. You only need a plug converter for it, you do not need a voltage converter.

Question
How does it curl without a curling rod?
I just got a really short haircut and I need a way to curl it but I am concerned this product will not actually curl. I need a 1/2" rod to curl it but I cannot find a good one.

This iron isn't very strong in my opinion. You might want to consider getting a more powerful iron for that kind of curling, unless you have very thin and fine hair.

I do not think this straightener will do an adequate job as a curler; only a straightener.

Question
Case
Could you please advise if the case is heat resistant? It doesn't indicate anywhere and I was wanting it for after the gym and hoping that I can throw it into the case while it is hot without having to wait for it to cool down.

Question
Dimensions and Weight
What are the dimensions of this straightener and weight? Also, compared to Chi, how does this brand compare? I have the full-length Chi and am traveling through Europe for 2 months so need something more compact. I am between these two brands...any preference?

It is not as good as a CHI, that's for sure. I put it in my gym bag and I use it for my bang only. Do not buy it if you want to use it for all your hair, it is too small to do a good job (sorry for my bad English)

Question
Dual Voltage?
Hi! The product states that it is dual voltage, but there is no toggle switch to control the settings. Does it automatically ramp up or down, depending on what sort of outlet it's plugged into? Can I use this in Japan? Please let me know soon-I bought it for my trip at the end of this month. Thanks!
