Questions & Answers for Buxom Hold The Line™ Waterproof Eyeliner

Safe for contacts?
I really miss the Buxom Insider Eyeliner that was discontinued and have been trying to find a replacement ever since.

Is this eyeliner safe for contact lens wearers if they use it for tightlining? I cannot seem to find eyeliner that won't smudge into my contacts and blur my vision.

I am a contact lens wearer, and this is NOT good for the waterline/tightlining for people with contacts. I wore this yesterday and ended up taking out my lenses in the middle of the day and chucking them. Very sad too because I love everything else about this pencil! The MUFE pencils do not smudge but are not as pigmented as this one. Disappointed.

I just purchased this liner and it definitely blurs vision for contact wearers (when trying to tightline/line the waterline). If anyone has any suggestions on how to prevent this, that would be great because I really love the liner otherwise.

I think the best liner for tight lining is Laura Mercier Cake liner..I use it everyday and it makes my eyelashes look darker.

I tried this eyeliner too and hated it...I use the Makeup For Ever pencils, not the waterproof ones, by far the best pencil I have ever used for tightlining. It's not perfect and smudges a tiny bit but waterproof pencils are very drying and make my lashes fall out.

Oh no, is it true that the Insider Eyeliner is being discontinued?
I read that in one of the reviews on this page. If it's true, then yet another one of my most favorite products is going away. Thank you to the person who included in their review that the Insider is being discontinued. I didn't know that on some of my other favorites and was crushed to not be able to replace them. Sephora, it would be sooooo wonderful if you would give us a heads up on these discontinuations. I'll look forward to trying this product but so far, the replacements for my other favorites that have been lost do not compare. : (

I hope it's not true either. I Love Insider Eyeliner! I was so upset when the first got rid of Black Pearl which was my favorite. Now if they end up getting rid of the whole line, I'm going to be so upset. It's so hard to find a good eyeliner that lasts all day that IS NOT waterproof. I really don't like waterproof eyeliner.

I think that the Insider Eyeliner by Buxom is now online-exclusive. I haven't been able to find it in-store since Summer 2012. They are still selling it here on the website, though. Simply go to the search entry in the upper left corner of the page, and enter "Buxom Insider Eyeliner". It'll take you right to it--currently selling for $14.00 in eight colors.

Wears off/bleeds on upper waterline - advice?
When I use this on my upper inner eyelid it wears off and bleeds into the outer corner of my eye. This is waterproof eyeliner so I'm not sure why it does this. Has anyone else had this problem? Any application advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

Do you use an eyeshadow primer on your lids? I use UD eyeshadow primer on my lids and my eyeliner stays put. No fading, no smudging.

I use UD anti aging eye primer prior to using this liner, it seems to do the trick for me. I apply the primer to both upper and lower lash line, and the liner lasts all day. Hoping this helps you!

Is this eyeliner safe for contact lenses?
I had a very bad experience with the UD 24/7 eyeliner and was wondering if this eyeliner is safe?

I also had the same experience with the UD pencils. This one is just as bad if not worse, sorry. The MUFE pencils have never given me a problem with my contacts, but it is not nearly as smooth or pigmented as the Buxom or the UD pencils.
