I used my fingers and had no success. I have dry skin and didn't have good, lasting coverage like I wanted. I recently switched to Clinique's Even Better Makeup and like it so much better.

Fingers. You can use a sponge to smooth out any spotty areas

I was using a smaller brush to put this on but I lost my brush, so I got the triangle sponges. I didn't like how the sponges kinda sucked up the make-up, so I just started to use my fingers to put this on. It works better than the brush and the triangle sponges. Hope this helps. =)

This product has less coverage than a foundation. If you typically use primer under foundation then you should use primer under this CC Cream.

Question
Does this product have a strange smell?
I was considering buying this, but when I tried a bit in the store, I noticed it had a very peculiar smell. Not pleasant at all. In fact, it made me go for the Smashbox brand instead, despite not wanting to spend that much money on my first ever CC cream. I'm not sure if this is how the product really smells or perhaps because the tester was getting low, it had gotten a lot of various guests bacteria in it or something?

My question is: does this have an odd smell to those who have purchased it?

Yes - it smells like a used diaper. I work at a preschool, so I'm pretty familiar with that odor. I like the product enough to keep using it despite the reminder of babies bodily functions.

I have found that if I use it alone it has a sort of dewy finish. I have oily skin myself and I think because of that I tend to prefer more of a matte finish. I started setting it with a mattifying powder and like the finish much better that way. I didn't find it to make me any oilier than normal.

I find this CC cream to be drying so that may be a property that would be helpful to oily skin. I found the dryness to be a disappointment because I live in a dry location.

I find this CC Cream to be drying. I just mentioned this in a review I wrote up. I was rather disappointed to find this out as I specifically asked the in-store make-up artist/salesperson if it was highly moisturizing and she said that it was. In my experience it is not moisturizing and yes, it accentuates dry patches. (I live in an arid location).

In my opinion the CC cream went on very smoothly. We recommend stopping by your local Sephora Store to request a sample in your shade.

Yes it can, and it looks 100% natural. I put it on in the morning before school, and it works all throughout the day, and doesn't look greasy or oily by the end of the day.

Hope this helped!

no, this product is a still considered a makeup product. It is just a better quality one with supposedly better ingredients that contains skin care ingredients, therefore there is a less chance that it will break you out and provides a little bit more moisture when u where makeup. At most you could just not wear moisturizer underneath, but no way should u use this as a skin care product.

Question
Will this stay on my face through a hot Texas day?
l live in Texas with summer temps in the 90s and 100s, and if that wasn't enough, menopause has left my face looking like I was caught in a heavy rain. I can hardly keep moisturizer on my face, much less foundation or CC cream. Will it stay on or just wash off the first time I have to wi

I would go with a different BB/CC cream that provides more coverage and stays on - maybe smashbox. This one didn't provide me any coverage (and I have same issue with flashes!).

Question
Is this product safe for sensitive skin?
I have very sensitive (combination) skin and it's very hard to find products that don't cause my skin to get a horrible rash after using them. I read the ingredients list and it seems that those ingredients are safe for my skin but was wondering if anyone else with sensitive skin has had good luck with this product?

My skin is EXTREMELY sensitive. That's why I was given a sample. Hate to spend money if I am going to get a reaction. I didn't become itchy, or splotchy. But try a sample first! Everyone's skin is different. What works for me, may not work for you.
