I actually bought this as a setting spray. For me it hydrates both on bare skin or on makeup.

One of the girls at a sephora store said it could be used to set makeup...

I would say no. I recommend an actual setting spray for that. The MUFE one is great for dry skin. This I use personally for right after my foundation in between setting powders or at any time during the makeup process to just give my skin some more moisture if needed. A lot of times I get my foundation on and my skin still has dry patches and I will give a few sprays of this to help.

Hi there, no, I would not recommend using this as a setting spray as it is primarily intended to give your skin hydration.

I'm wondering how this compares to the caudalie Beaty elixir?

Way better and better smelling. this is best if your looking for burst of moisture.

answer 2
Personally, I thought Caudalie's elixir was way too oily and sticky. It's definitely more nutritious than Clinique's. But because I prefer something light and nutritious, rather than something heavy, I chose Clinique over Caudalie a long time ago. Also, I personally liked that Clinique's product didn't have a scent, whereas the elixir has its distinct, herb-like smell.

Hope this was helpful! :)

Anybody use this as a toner for combination skin?
I have combination oily and acne prone skin. My face feels dry, I'm sure due to the acne treatments I use, but I also get oily during the day. Does anybody with combination skin use this as a toner to balance out acne treatments? If so, how do you apply it?

As a toner I use a mixture of half water half Apple cider Vingear. It tones, kills bacteria, and balances your skins PH. After that I put my Moisturizer one and once it sinks in I spray my face with this Moisture Surge Spray. Perfect for skin that's dehydrated from acne treatments since its alcohol free and contains soothing aloe. Also it's not greasey. I spray it over my makeup too

I LOVE Clinique's blue acne line, try their #2 toner for your skin and the moisturizer that helps acne and stuff. It's great. This is just for like, refreshing moisture spritz and to be honest I returned mine. Hope this helps!!
