You could use it on your face if you wanted to, I suppose. If you do, however, I would make that your face is one of the first places that you apply it (to avoid spreading undesirable "stuff" from other parts of your body onto your face, obviously). I also use a drop of dishwashing liquid and warm water to rinse out the mitt after each use so that you don't get an accumulation of old self tanner and other nasty stuff on the applicator mitt for future uses.

It will look natural; I'm also have very fair skin tone and it works perfectly on me. Make sure to exfoliate and do not apply too much on the first time; blend well. It is not too dark with one light application that is blended well.

answer 3
I'm ghostly pale (literally like a sheet of paper) and this stuff gave me a beautiful golden tan. You can use it on your whole body (including face), just make sure you exfoliate knees, ankles, and elbows and moisturize beforehand. When it comes to facial application, you might find that when you wake up (assuming you put it on before bed since you don't want to sweat or anything after application) it looks somewhat uneven, like theres a little bit of dirt on your face or something. As soon as you wash your face you'll be left with natural looking color. The first time you shower, however, a little color does tend to come off.

Question
How much color develops after one application and is there any smell at all?
Is the color that develops very light, medium, or dark after using it just once? Does it smell at all after hours of having it on?
And also for anyone that can possibly answer this, is it better than the lorac selftantalizer?
For reference I am fair but not too light.

There is really no smell at all during application or after. There is a bronzer in it so you can see where you are applying. This helps to make sure you're applying evenly. The color develops in about four hours, but you look tan immediately because of the bronzer. I would say it's medium tan (I have fair skin). It is definitely noticeable, but not so dark it looks fake and not at all orangey.

No smell and it goes on with a light bronze gel color so you can see it lightly immediately (and it helps so you know where you have put it). It gets a really good color in a couple of hours like you have tanned a few days in a row and I am fair skin with a light base. My color after my 2 weekly applications is as good as my tan I got from Mexico!

I love the Lorac SelfTantalizer, but I love this one more! It's super natural looking, doesn't transfer, and also smells good! (Smells different than Lorac, but smells good). Gives a great natural tan, and I think it lasts longer on the skin than Lorac.

I use it about 2 times a week. You can build the color, but I like how it looks after 1 application. It smells tropical (no tanner smell). Its a light smell, and I don't really notice it lasting too long. I have not tried the Lorac though, all I know is this is the best one I've ever tried.

There is a smell, but it is not vey strong. The colouring on me (Canadian -never-seen-the-sun-pasty-white) is a medium tone. It is slightly darker than my arms which are naturally darker than my legs due to sun exposure. I don't know anything about the other product you mentioned, sorry.

Question
How long will a bottle last?
I generally use Bliss spray tan because I like the brown (not orange) color it produces. The problem is that you really only get about 2 1/2 full applications out of Bliss, so it's pretty expensive. How does this compare? How many uses per bottle if you use it "face to toe"?

I found that I actually had to use more of this compared to other self tanners I've used so it actually didn't last as long as the others, unfortunately (such as St Tropez self tanning mousse and Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint-both of which I used with the St Tropez applicator mitt). I think it may be because the texture of the product (which is more like a lotion, I guess) just doesn't work that well with the applicator mitt provided. A lot of the product just seems to absorb into the mitt instead of spreading evenly on the skin. I haven't tried just using my hands with gloves on to apply it yet, but maybe that would make it so that I don't have to use SO much product. I can't say EXACTLY how long it would last, but you'll get more uses out of it than the bliss product that you're using now, for sure. However, you may not get as many uses out of it as compared to some of the other products that have textures specifically designed to be applied with the mitt (i.e. a mousse or liquid type of texture I mentioned above).

Question
Can you wash the mitt?
I've used this product about 4 times, and have loved it so far. However, the mitt is getting pretty gross from these multiple uses. Have any of you ever washed this mitt/do you think you can wash this mitt without ruining it? If so, how? I figure you can wash it with warm water or something, but I'm worried it will grow mold or something gross like that as it dries..Thank you for any insight

You can wash the mitt. It dries pretty quickly. I wash mine in the sink with baby shampoo, and then lay it flat on a towel to dry. It takes maybe a day to dry? It won't get moldy or anything. My only complaint is I can't figure out how to wash it without squeezing it, and that sort of messes with the foam somehow. I just buy the St. Tropez mitts whenever I feel like I need a new one.

answer 2
i wash mine with warm water and soap after each application. It dries completely and there is no chance of moisture being trapped. I normally put mine on top of a shampoo bottle so that it is open and the air circulated a little more aka dryes faster.
Just make sure to wash it gently by hand with mild soap.

Yes, you should wash the mitt every time you apply. I prefer to soak it overnight so I don't risk getting splash marks on my freshly applied tan, but I've accidentally thrown these mitts in the washing machine before and they came out fine. A really good rinse is probably enough if you let it hang dry, although soap or shampoo will get more product out of the mitt.

We recommend washing the mitt with luke warm water and laundry detergent. It helps to soak it for a little bit to really get it clean. Squeeze out all excess water, and lay flat to dry.

The tan is best the day after, but if you do two coats, it will last for several days, especially if you keep applying more each day, it will last for as long as you apply. Just one application will last 2-3 days.

I am actually a long time fan of the Jergens. I decided to try the Tarte for a quicker deeper tan. DON'T DO IT. Read my review (Tallysgal). It hard to use, unpleasantly scented and doesn't look natural. I'm going to stick with the Jergens - easier to apply, pleasant scent, really natural color. I know the Jergens takes more maintenance, but its so easy...just like applying lotion. And the price difference is HUGE.

Personally this is my favourite self tanner and I think it is totally worth every penny as it lasts for a week; fades gradually; has a colour guard; green undertone; does not transfer and my favourite part does not SMELL like a self tanner. So for me applying it only ones a week and not having to struggle with the above issues is worth it. I did try jameson and really did not like; had to reapply every 3 days.
