Question
Will this clog pores? I am acne prone and the BB creams make me breakout.

This caused horrible break outs for me. I kept trying to use it and was religious about washing my face at night after each use but still, it did not work out.

I had the same issue with the BB Cream - I broke out horribly. That did not happen with me and the CC Cream. The BB seemed thicker and more plastic, CC is lightweight and creamy. My forehead can be oily and that is where I broke out the most with the BB.

This CC Cream is lightweight and oil free and should not cause any clogged pores or acne. You may want to try a sample at your local store first before purchasing. .

A little bit more creamy than a tinted moistruizer but super lightweight once you've applied it. The coverage is amazing!

CC Creams actually even out skin tone and work to correct skin problems (for example, they can fade dark spots / acne marks).

This is SUPPOSED to actually even skin tone over time which TMs do not do and is thicker (in my opinion) than most TMs.

Question
Ok, it's oil free. Does it help to control oil?
I have very oily, acne prone skin. Most BB creams are a little chalky, with a limited color range and do not do anything to actually control oil. Smashbox comes close but the color range still leaves something to be desired. Looking for something that is easy to blend in and actually controls oil.

I have really oily skin and I love this product. Find a good "oil-controlling" moisturizer. I actually have been using the "clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel" for years and it's very good. If you need even more oil-control try the "Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15" it is more intense so I just use a little bit or when I'm having a really oily day...Anyway, if you find a good moisturizer and then use this CC cream you will thank me later! The coverage and feel of this cream is awesome! Don't let the "moisture-surge" scare you.

This is not sweat resistant. It runs and sweat beads up with a white-cast. I don't wear this when I know I'll be sweating. Love it otherwise.

It doesn't clump, but you will want to re-apply after 45-60 minutes of light sweating.

I ride my bike every day with this on as an SPF and I've had no trouble so far. Once, on a longer bike ride in the middle of the day, I noticed that I got a bit burned right at my hairline, where I had missed applying, but the rest of my face didn't burn at all, so its doing a good job. Its a mineral SPF, which I've generally found to be the most sweat resistant, though this doesn't feel sticky like some mineral sunscreens can when you sweat.

Replace my primer?
I always use a primer before my foundation for the skin smoothing benefits and to make my foundation last longer. Can I use this in place of my usual primer?

I find that as long as you use a good moisturizer, you don't need a primer. If anything, this CC cream acts like base if you want to put foundation over it but from my experience it works amazingly by itself.

Yes, you would still want to use a moisturizer underneath the CC cream. The product will help correct certain skincare concerns however, you still want to make sure that you are continuing your normal skincare routine.

Question
Color for fair skin?
I'm very, VERY light (like corpse-pale, here) with pink undertones.

The problem with this is that the lightest color says it has yellow undertones, but the one darker says it has pink. How yellow, exactly?

I use the lightest shade in Clinique BB cream and it works well when I finish with a lighter powder, but all other BB creams look orange on me. Can anyone upload swatches?

I have cool undertones and wear Continuous Coverage Makeup in "Ivory Glow". It has a pink undertone. So, in conjunction I've been trying "Medium" in this CC cream as a sample from Sephora. It looks a little darker, but it blends very nicely. The light to medium has more yellow undertones. Ask for samples at Sephora. They are very nice. I did buy the product, just using up the sample first to make sure there are no problems, i.e. clogging pores, So far, so good.

I have fair skin as well with pink undertones. I tried the very light and it was fine but I didn't like the product at all. Color was fine but it felt heavy on my face and by the end of the day my face turned greasy.

I work for a Clinique Counter in Marion, Ohio

BB - More of a semi-matte to matte finish, better for those with fine lines. The coverage is more moderate to full, and the shade range is smaller.

CC- more hydrating, covers imperfections in skin tone better, sheer to moderate coverage, natural/ radiant finish, more of a bigger shade range.

Personally I like the CC coverage better than the BB. The CC has more of a medium to full coverage for my skin and the BB was more sheer. I also love the moisturizer and SPF in the CC.
