Is this a dry oil? Is it meant solely for the tips, or can it be used on the roots as well?
I have always had pretty healthy hair, with a somewhat oily scalp, until recently. Seemingly overnight, without any changes to my haircare routine, my hair has developed fly-aways, coarse, short, curly/frizzy fringe pieces by my temples, and my scalp has been alternating between dry and oily. This sounds like a great product, but is it meant to be applied at night and washed out, or applied to wet ends and worked up? Does anyone who's used (and endorsed) this product have an oily scalp?

on Revive French Plum Oil
My scalp is oily and I have to wash my hair daily. I used to apply the oil all over my hair, but found that it made my bangs a little flat, so I now use it from the middle of my hair at the back down to the tips. I like applying the oil after I towel dry my hair after the shower.

This is a heavy oil, I wouldn't think you could put it on your roots. I have long hair, and I work 5 drops through mid shaft to ends every night without much buildup, but with great shine and moisture.

Yes I do have an occasional oily scalp and have used this product on my roots and the oil is so lightweight it doesn't make the scalp oily(unless you use too much of the directed amount). It's perfect to use ANYTIME..before bed, after showering, after styling, and etc. I love this product but I don't believe it's worth it's price!
