What it is: A daily moisturizer for all skin types proven to provide up to 24 hours of significant hydration. What it is formulated to do: Historically romantic and classically fragrant, the rose flower yields a precious oil brimming with nutrients that naturally soothe the skin and stimulate the senses. This hydrating gel cream provides up to a full day of moisture, nourishing with rosewater, rose flower oil, and jojoba oil. Rhodiola root extract helps revive skin cells while cucumber extract provides an immediate cooling effect. The result is a healthy-looking, radiant complexion, refreshed and revived by the beauty of the rose. What else you need to know:“One of the most recognizable flowers across cultures, the rose is associated with romance and royalty and has been the basis of beauty rituals for centuries. Ancient Roman courts were decorated with garlands to stimulate the senses, and queens from Cleopatra to Marie Antoinette used it for perfume. With today’s technology, we are able to refine the purity of the extract, making it even more effective in skincare. The flower yields an incredibly precious oil brimming with nutrients that help to hydrate, soothe, tone, and restore the skin, and the scent adds a unique mood-enhancing quality to the experience.”—Lev Glazman, Fresh Co-founder Research results:In vitro test: - Proven to provide up to 24 hours of significant moisture and significantly protect the skin from damage caused by pollution In an independent consumer testing panel: - 100% felt their skin was healthier-looking and more hydrated, supple, and soft - 97% felt their skin was instantly hydrated and nourished - 93% felt it protected, soothed, and toned the skin

Questions & Answers for Fresh Rose Hydrating Gel Cream

Does it smell like roses or not?
I'm confused. The product description certainly implies that there is a "mood-enhancing" fragrance. One reviewer says it smells lovely, like a rose garden. But then another says it has "no fragrance at all" and someone else claims it "has a lovely fresh aroma. No noticeable rose smell." What?

I know tastes differ, but simply whether the gel smells like roses or not shouldn't be that debatable, in my opinion. And unfortunately I can't get to a Sephora to test it myself before buying.

I LOVE the smell of roses, and the (alleged?) rose fragrance of this product is the *only* reason I'm interested in it. I'm not in the market for a new moisturizer, but if this stuff truly delivers a fragrant sensory experience on top of performing well, I'm in.

So, seriously, does it smell like roses or not? Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "not a bit" and 10 being "it's like putting Roses de Chloé or Stella McCartney Stella on your face". (Which I wish I could do.)

And by the way, if anyone can recommend other rosy-fragranced products, I'd be very much obliged, thank you!

It does smell like roses. On a scale of one to ten, I'd say it's fairly mild and the smell dissipates quickly after application, so I'd give it a 4. If you want a stronger rose smell, then I'd check out Jurlique. They have some awesome rose smelling products. I especially like their rosewater balancing mist.

To be honest, I don't even smell it when I apply it. So I would say that the smell is not very strong at all.

It has a light rose scent. Not as strong as a Stella McCartney perfume. It fades away after you put your make up on top of it.

This doesn't really have a scent to it. If anything I would say you notice very faint floral accents, but nothing dramatic.

I have similar skin and I love this product, it has not made me breakout at all and is very lightweight and refreshing.

I've tried both and would recommend the rose gel. It's lighter and seems to have some healing/anti-inflammatory properties that help with acne. I like the lotus moisturizer, too, but it is heavier and would be more likely to cause a breakout.
