Does this still work for people with a more oily scalp? I usually have to shampoo multiple times to get a lather. Not sure if 'no poo' is right for me

Questions & Answers for DevaCurl Low-Poo®

Can you use Deva Curl even if you don't have curly hair?
A friend of mine with curly hair suggested I start using Deva Curl, because of the fact that it contains no sulfates, parabens, etc. But the only problem is I'm seeing all this info about how great it is for curly hair, & I'm stuck with semi-straight somewhat wavy hair with frizzies. I'd really like to go the "no poo" route or even "low poo" that Deva Curl offers. So basically, would it be worth my while to purchase Deva Curl for my non-curly hair? I don't really think it could do damage, but I'd rather get what's best for my hair type. I do have very oily skin, which equals out to an oily scalp that I have to wash EVERYDAY. I'm getting so tired of stripping the natural oils of my hair with regular drugstore shampoo. Is Deva Curl good for oily hair, that's not curly?

I don't see why not - DevaCurl is specifically for curly hair because it is so anti-frizz but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be ok for straight hair. As yours is wavy that counts anyway! If your hair is greasy maybe try the low poo for a few weeks first then wean yourself onto the no-poo.

I have frizzy hair and someone recommended this for me, but it ended up being to heavy, I was left with total flat stringy hair...

YES! I have curly hair but most of my friends and family have more straight or wavy styles. In fact, I have two friends who are cousins both suffered from an oily scalp that forced them to wash their hair daily, they no longer need to wash every day after using the Deva shampoos regularly. I love the product - the entire line. They help curly hair but by no means are only for that hair type.
