Bumble and bumble Thickening Full Form Mousse

What it is: A cushiony crème mousse that inflates, sculpts, and holds hair for style in volumes. What it does: Achieve full-bodied silhouettes with this crème formula that lifts hair for a fuller look and feel. Formulated to have extra density per dollop, the mousse contains shaping polymers that provide strong grip for extra round-brush traction. Lightweight conditioners keep hair soft and supple, swapping out crunch and weight for a natural sheen and healthy bounce. Appropriate for all hair types and textures, especially fine, and safe for use on color-treated hair. What else you need to know:Bumble and bumble stylist tip: To give extra height after blow-drying, apply a little more mousse at the crown. Then lift and rough-dry with hands.

I have used it as a base before scrunching in Josie Maran beach waves spray and let it dry. I do use it sparingly and quickly blast roots and bangs if I have a chance. However, nicest results are for a full, volumizing blow dry. No need to do completely straightening but gives body and smoothness to bouncy blow dry.

Yes. I air dried my hair and I applied this the next day getting ready for work and it still worked great.

That's how I have used it. Works fine, but nothing special.

Of Course! It will give your hair some extra hold, like hairspray but lighter and generally you can get better coverage with mousse and by applying product to wet hair. Use it as you would use any other mousse.

Yes, but the best results are when your hair is damp and you blow it out with a round brush. If you're not planning on blowing your hair out, use it after your hair is dry and styled as a finishing touch up to the roots. Scrunch a nickel size to quarter sized amount and rub into roots while lifting up the roots for maximum volume then finger comb! :) Don't use too much!

I should think so. I usually put it on my hair and sleep on it overnight before using a curling iron in the morning. Some portions of my hair hold a 'sculpted' look (from sleeping on them), and overall, my hair is full and soft.

Definitely! We suggest applying it on slightly damp, not soaking wet, hair. Blow drying adds extra volume, however that step can be omitted.

I like this better. Living proof seemed a little heavier. This smells nicer, too. Also, had issues with Living Proof can.

I've used both products, and neither of them worked. Too expensive and doesn't give the results that I was looking for. Both products weighed my hair down.

I like both, B&B is more lightweight, less sticky and easier to use. I think a little better for longer hair

I prefer the Living Proof Full Thickening Cream over this B&B Thickening Mousse by ten fold! My hair has much more volume with the Living Proof stuff, it just looks so much better, and the volume lasts longer. I even bought the B&B Dryspun finish spray to try and enhance this mousse since I was underwhelmed, and it didn't matter. For me, the Living Proof Full Thickening Cream is the best!

Hi there! I like the volumizng lotion by Living Proof too. I think it's a matter of preference and price. They both do the same, one is in a lotion and the other in a mousse. I've not had any drying out of my hair either but I do use a spray in condition by matrix prior to using any styling products. This is due to chemo; my hair grew back sort of dry and curly. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

If you don't use too much it is not drying and provides good volume. I use a quarter size amount for a shortish bob hairdo.

Question
Dryness?
Is anyone else having issues with this drying out their hair? I've used it for months because I just love the feel of it (serious southern volume, easy to control smells amazing) but recently I felt like my hair was a bundle of straw after I used it. I recently got my hair cut and chopped off some seriously dead ends, so that may have been the culprit ... Anyone have some insight or maybe a product pairing that works to combat this problem for you?

It does dry my hair a bit but that is one of my favorite things! My hair is slippery and this gives it that beachy look I like. Try using less and mostly on the roots.

I do sometimes notice a little dryness from using it. However, with oily hair like mine, that's not really a bad thing.

same for me - I use the prep spray with ALL B&B products, and it makes a big difference. the effects of the products last longer, my hair is healthier, and it makes everything last longer, since I don't use as much product when I combine it with the prep spray, BUY IT!
