Question
does it have auto shut off

answer 1
No, there is no auto shut-off. The only real feature is the temperature dial. You will find cheaper, drugstore alternatives are much better with more features than the Drybar flat iron.

Is this flatiron ceramic?

I apologize that I incorrectly stated it was not ceramic earlier. A Drybar staff member indicated that YES, it is ceramic. However, I stand by my other comments about its performance. It certainly doesn't behave like a ceramic iron. It doesn't have the true smoothing effects of one, nor does it help control frizz.

answer 2
No. It really is nothing special. It doesn't do a great job at smoothing out the hair or decreasing any frizz you may have. I have found that cheaper drugstore alternatives are much better. This doesn't even have an auto shut-off. I recommend that you skip this and purchase something else. You're only paying for the Drybar name if you purchase this one.

No, it is not. It does not help control frizz nor does it do a good job at smoothing out the hair. I am returning mine. Drugstore alternatives are much better. With this iron, you are paying only for the name and not a superior product.

can this product be used on wet hair/damp hair or must it be completely dry?

You should never flat-iron wet hair, no matter what flat iron you use. You can easily damage and burn your hair by doing that. Make sure it's completely dry before use.

I think your hair needs to be dry. I have an old T3 flat iron that specifically said it could be used on both dry and flat; this one doesn't say that.

I don't have the measurements, but it's not a large or over-sized flat iron. It's a standard size iron that you would see in the typical drugstore alternatives. It's doesn't have a wide body or hot plate but is rather thin.

Iron is 10.5 inches long. The ceramic plate is 3.5 inches long x almost 1 inch wide.

I didn't read the instructions, but my iron acts the same way. The light starts out blinking (in that red/orange light) then becomes solid. I haven't had any issues with it heating up or staying hot and its performance has been just fine. I've owned it for 2 or 3 months now and use it almost daily.

The return policy is available on the Customer Service page of this website. If it's been more than 90 days, you would need to take it to an actual Sephora store location. It's possible that they would allow an exchange. You can only receive a refund if returned within 60 days. If 61-90 days, you can return for a store credit by mail or at a store location. After 90 days, you can no longer return by mail.

This can definitely curl!

It is approx 1 inch wide and has a rounded edge so the hair can curl around the tool, it also helps that the cord swivels so no twisting occurs.

I find that I always need hair spray to keep the curls in tact as the intense heat can sometimes make the curls drop.
