Question
Worth the hefty price(compared to other similar clips)??
I have some similar plastic "alligator" clips from a beauty supply store that cost about $7 for 4. The ones I have are the best I have found so far that hold my fine, wavy hair with minimal slippage. Does anyone think these "Hold Me" clips are superior? Thank you!

They are not rubberized. You can get a four pack for $6.00 of rubberized alligator clips at a local Sally's beauty supply store. Rubberized alligator clips work much better.

These clips do very well holding my fine, curly hair. My hair doesn't fall out of the clips and if I need to pin up my hair that's already been styled, they don't mess up anything. I would definitely recommend these clips.

Without knowing what the ones you already purchased are like, I can say these clips are INCREDIBLE. Zero complaints.

Honestly, these clips are great but if you have some that you have had great results with, I would stick with those. These clips have a really nice design to them that allows them to hold large amounts of thick, heavy hair. I am satisfied but I wouldn't pay $16 for them again.

Question
do these leave bumps in the hair?
I'm asking more for how to pin up hair overnight to extend the blowout a day or two... my hair is short now and I spend a LOT of time styling it. would be great to not have to do it *every* day, but bobby pins leave all kinds of weird dents. if these do-- any suggestions?

I haven't had any issues with overnight bumps or creases with these at all. I know that a blogger uses them specifically for putting her hair up overnight!

These are a thick plastic clip that may not be ideal for pinning up and sleeping in. I have not noticed any indentation from use. If you are worried about that you can place tissue paper or gauze in between the hair and clip to minimize the likelihood of it happening. I haven't left them in long enough to give you a solid answer but thought I could help you figure out if they are right for you.

Question
curl clips?
I have super-long hair (below my waist) and I'm looking for clips to use after my hair is styled and curled to keep fresh until right before photos. These clips get great reviews for sectioning, would they work well as 'curl clips' for me?

Absolutely! These clips can hold a LOT of hair but wont ruin your curls.

I THINK so. My hair is shoulder length, I got four, but I'm not using them to their full potential. When my hair is "not as fresh" I can put up the whole bunch with just one. This is pretty amazing to me. They do crease your hair at the clamp stop a little bit, but I think it's worth a try.

These hair clips are very comparable to the Sephora Collection Hold It Together Blow Dry Clips. These clips are slightly thinner than the Sephora Collection ones, but other than that, they perform the same.
