The blush brush is about 6" and its the tallest. The shadow brushes are about 4" tall. They are just smaller than full sized.

I need a smudge brush. Is the crease brush comparable to a smudge brush?

No. A smudge brush would have shorter, more dense/sturdy bristles. I think you could get away with using it to smudge with just because it seems to be pretty versatile, though. It's kind of a little do-all brush, but I like it best for the crease.

I don't think you'd find this crease brush to be a good substitute for a smudge brush. It's too soft. But the liner brush might do the trick.

What kind of hair are the bristles made from?
Can anyone tell me what the bristles to sephoras brushes are made from? I am assuming they are synthetic since the description does not state.

Yes they are synthetic but very fine and good quality. No bristles fall out at all!
