Questions & Answers for Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara

Question
Compare to Benefit They're Real?
How does this compare to Benefit's They're Real in terms of curling and staying power, as well as tendency to clump?

I would say Diorshow is much better. For me They're Real was extremely messy when removing which I hated and the Diorshow is not like that. I also felt like They're Real smudged a bit too. Diorshow does a much better job of defining and lengthening and creates an amazing all around enhanced look.

I don't know the Benefit mascara - but this one doesn't clump (unless you coat wet lashes again and again)

my opinion is it can't even begin to compare to they're real. my experience with they're real is it's one of my favorites. this doesn't come close.

I've tried both and would benefit is better, though I wasn't a big fan of that one either. The Dior does curl well, but the clumping is awful and there's not even the smallest bit of volume added.

I like both mascaras but def prefer the Dior Overcurl. It curls much more than the Benefit. It doesn't clump on me and I have very FINE eyelahses. However, over time, it might start to clump more as the product becomes more dry after many uses.

This is so much better than "They're Real!" personally, I didn't even like "They're Real" because I didnt see much added curl and I had to scrape my face to get it off! This mascara is MUCH better.

answer 12
I like both mascaras. I think Benefit's They're Real is a bit more dramatic: it's definitely lengthening and defining while also holding a curl. However, I found it to be a little sticky and when it dried my eyelashes felt very stiff. Tarte's a more natural look, in my opinion, but still beautiful.

Question
How to apply?
I'm sure this sounds really dumb but... which side of the brush do i apply to my eyelashes? The convex or concave side?
I have never used a curved mascara wand so i dont know which side is correct to use!

The side that feels natural. Which is the concave side. So the side that is dipping down like a half moon and put that up to your eyelashes so it pushes them up

answer 2
When I apply it, I match the arch up with my lashline, wiggle, and pull up to coat my lashes. I will flip it around for fanning out the outer lashes. I will use the tip to pull individual lashes in directions to get a nice fanned-out effect. Do this twice for a fuller look.

The concave side should be applied to your lashes.

answer 4
I use the brush this way: I coat the lashes on the top surface with the brush curved to fit the shape of my eye, then (because I like the middle of my lashes with more mascara then the sides) I coat the underside of the lashes with the brush curved up as well.

You shpuld apply it on tge bottom side of your lashes using the convex side of your brush.

answer 7
You can use either. I typically hold the concave size to my lashes - so the wand lines up with the curve of my eyelid, to apply. Then I go back with the other side (so it curves away from my eyelid) to add another coat and separate lashes. Works very well!

answer 8
Apply with the curve facing the sky. When you look in the mirror, the brush should look like a "U" shape. Seemed a bit odd to me at first, but I noticed a TINY picture on the box demonstrating this. It works much better than if you have the curve matching the curve of the eyelash.

answer 9
You apply with the curved inner side, sort of like how it would fit the curviness of your lashes.

Hold it sideways and fit it to the shape of the lashes you are working on - curving like a rainbow for the upper lashes and the other way for the lower lashes.

I've had certain mascaras where I would be afraid of washing my face because I knew my eyes were going to sting. With this mascara I don't have that problem! I'm not entirely sure how sensitive my eyes are but it does not bother me. Best mascara, I highly recommend it.
