turns out, i bought both, and i love both!! the urban decay is quality stuff, beautiful, not as much coverage as dior, but works very well to give a natural glowing finish and feels great, works through a whole work day and beyond. diorskin has a richer coverage, feels great and looks great too...just all depends what i see and reach for first, and if i just want good coverage for a simple day, more natural looking...i prefer ud..!

The urban decay bb cream doesn't give very much coverage at all. I like the coverage on this one more and it smells a lot better.

The coverage on the Urban Decay is very light and sheer and you may have more coverage as well as variety in shades with the Dior. Please try to visit your local store to try samples of each as each has a different finish on everyone's skin.

I don't know if I would follow the answers above. I am similar to you where I always buy the lightest shades of foundations/makeup. I bought the lightest shade of this BB cream (Light001) and it was still too dark for me. Hope this helps.

Buy shades 001 and 002 and try them at home with your regular makeup. Keep the one that matches your skin better :)
You don't want to get the 003 shade because it will be too orange for your complexion. Good luck!

Question
Should I use a Primer underneath this?
I really want this to last all day long, so I don't have to re-apply it. Will it last if I put on just the bb cream or should I wear a primer with it?

I found it lasted longer with a primer (I used the green Smashbox primer). However, I found it faded significantly by the end of the work day.

It really depends on the type of skin you have, but if you want it to last a really long time and not wear if you brush your face, touch your face or oil to break through, I would recommend wearing a primer. If you have oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this BB cream at all frankly.

Question
Dry Skin?
I have a little bit of dry skin, sometimes I'll get little patches of dry skin. I want a tinted moisturizer for summer. Would this cling to dry patches? Or would this be good for someone with dry skin?

It might not be moisturizing enough for dry skin. I feel that the Hourglass Illusion product has more moisture.

You would need to use a moisturizer under it. Even for me without dry skin I use the one essential, capture totale lotion ( provides a light moisture), then the bb cream.

I suspect it would cling to dry patches. I found it to be a rather dry and chalky application. I returned the product. My favorite is Estee Lauder's Double Wear Light Foundation.

Question
What shade?
I am going to order this BB Creme online, but am not sure which shade I should get. Having looked at pictures of it online, the Fair 002 seems to have yellow undertones, while the 001 would be too light and the 003 and 004 would be too dark. I have olive undertones, would this BB Creme work for me? Also, should it be applied with or without primer underneath?

If you have olive undertones and you think the 3 and 4 are too dark I would try the 3 anyway. My husband did and it worked perfectly. I use one essential followed by capture totale lotion for light misture under my BB cream. Sometimes I use the Dream Skin for step 3 before the BB cream which provides a nice primer.

You should be totally fine with the 002. That's what I use, and I have olivey-pink undertones in my skin. It's super blendable, and really works with a lot of skin tones. As for primer, I only do so on certain days if my skin seems to be exceptionally dry or flared-up (I have pretty extreme combination skin). Otherwise, primer really isn't necessary, the bb cream doesn't wear off or crease in your under eyes during the day at all. So, I say go for it! It's the best product I've ever used on my face.

Tried this in medium and it was slightly too dark, but mainly just too pink for yellow undertones. I've heard other complaints that it doesn't suit yellow undertones very well. You could try mixing 2 different shades, but that seems like a lot of trouble and I'm just going to keep searching for a bb cream that fits my skin tone. I tried mixing the medium shade with a bit of my regular foundation, but it just ended up looking like a lighter coverage foundation that was slightly off my shade. It's a nice texture though so a primer didn't really make a difference for me. I also tried using it as a primer, which looked very nice under my foundation but was unnecessary if you aren't getting any of the color benefits.

I don't recommend this product for sensitive (or anyone for that matter) as the fourth ingredient is alcohol, which is damaging to skin.

I think I have THE most sensitive skin out there. EVERYTHING makes me break out. Especially foundation's with any kind of sunscreen. This product has never given my skin a problem. I wear the lightest shade, which provides great coverage, and dust on some bronzer on to add color back to my face. I love this product!

I have sensitive, acne prone skin and it broke my skin out pretty bad. I know this was the culprit because it was the only new thing I tried. It also has very minimal coverage so unless you have very good skin you would have to wear something over it. My skin usually does fine with BB creams but this one didn't work for me. I didn't keep receipt so I unfortunately I could not return it.

It actually contains Balanites Roxburghii seed oil, which I googled and apparently that's the crazy scientific name for "Desert Date" seed oil. It has skin conditioning properties and has a dry-touch feel to it. Yes I have too much time on my hands but ah well. Thought it was worth mentioning if you're super concerned about any oil whatsoever. Hopefully this was helpful and not overly pretentious.

Question
Is it too dark for ultra pale people?
I'm one of those people that's so pale, no foundation will match my skin tone. The closest is the lightest shade of Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation, but my skin is combo and this foundation can't cover dry spots; the rest of the time I use Clinique's lightest BB cream shade just to even everything out, even though it's still darker than my skin. Has anyone my level of pale/fair tried the light colors? Are they truly light, or do they oxidize to orange or yellow against white skin?

its darker but Im pretty pale and love this. the spf is low so you might want to blend it with a foundation or something but I use shade 002. I use shade two and i don't need to add bronzer or any darker products. So if you're super pale maybe shade 001 and if you're like me and you're about in between of pale and olive 002? I also advise you to go online and check swatches by bloggers! It helps!

You can use this on top of facial oils, but be aware that this product's mattifying properties will diminish. That said, this product doesn't pill or streak and I have used this with and without argan oil. I do use only 2-3 drops of oil on my entire face-- if you use more, your experience may vary.
