Questions & Answers for Hourglass Ambient Powder Brush

Question
Can the travel pouch be cleaned?
Is there any indication of what the pouch is made from? Since I really do intend to use it to store the brush while traveling, is the inside a material that could easily be wiped clean, or could it stand up to being thrown in the wash?

I've check inside, it's polyester. There a little tag.
I think polyester can be washed but I would wash it by hand.

Pouch is velvet on the outside and almost like a vinyl on the inside. Seems like the velvet was a dumb choice since it holds onto powders, but the inside should clean up nicely

The outside is velvety and the inside is plastic-y, although I'm not sure of the actual material it's made of.

Question
dimensions?
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of this brush. I have Becca the one brush which pretty much sits in my makeup drawer. I was wondering if it may be similar except for the fact that it is goat hair. Will that make a difference on the product application?thanks for any advice!

Don't have it on me right now, but I would say approx 2 inches wide x less than 3 inches long.
It's tiny and cute.

Way smaller than the Becca The One - designed for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting finishing powders, so they fit the size of those compacts. Also the Hourglass one comes with a cute velvet case so you can store/travel without the bristles getting smushed.
I had 'the One,' tried it, and hated it. But the 2 brushes really have different purposes. The One I thought was great for foundation but sucked for everything else, so I couldn't justify keeping such an expensive product when it did not streamline my makeup regimen (and my UD Good Karma foundation brush worked just fine)

But this Hourglass brush is muchhhhh softer, and the bristles are longer and not packed as tightly as the Becca The One. I would NOT use this with foundation. I use it for my Hourglass Ambient powders, but you could really use it for any highlighter or as a blending/finishing brush, and that's about it.
I think it would be sloppy for applying foundation, and it's too wide for blush although it may be able to contour well (but I love my MUFE countouring brush too much to bother with the learning curve)

I clean all of my brushes with Dr. Bronner's soap for babies. As for letting the brush dry: I always roll a small towel halfway and lay the brush against the rolled part, so that water doesn't damage the brush while it's drying.

You can use this brush for applying any pressed powder-whether you are applying it all over the face or just contouring the cheeks and jawline.

I've used this brush for applying other highlighters. The shape allows for great blending of any highlighting powders around the eyes, above cheekbones, and down the nose (all the highlighting areas of the face).

Question
Brush for ambient powder alternate
Instead of the Hourglass brush which is sold for applying ambient powder, which would be the next best brush? I have the pallette, and although it's not an extraordinary value ounce for ounce; I feel that the company would've included the brush, or a similar one if it was absolutely necessary. What brush do you all use?

I use the Hourglass brush. To me, it's worth it - it's soooo soft and deposits the perfect amount of powder without kicking up too much in the pan. It's overall a great finishing brush; I've used it with some of my translucent finishing powders, too
