what alternate glue can be used (super glue?)
After reading the reviews (for which I am very thankful), I see many complaints about the glue for the foil application. If it is not working (as many reviewers say), what could I keep available to take to my nail artist in case the glue in the kit does not work or is all gooped up?
The chemical configuration of the glue would benefit emergency mishaps to find a good substitute. I could take an alternative with me so my artist could quickly switch if the kit glue does not work. The foils are SOOO incredibly beautiful, I really want to try the kit, but want to go to the salon prepared for a glue failure. Thank you.

I had bad luck when i purchased mine. my glue was all hardened so what i did was added a drop of polish remover just to liquify it just a tad. It still made it a little difficult but I got it to work once i figured I needed to put on multiple coats of polish so that the remover in the glue didn't lift it all. I wouldn't suggest super glue just because I would see the entire paper itself sticking instead of just the "foil" part that you want to stick.
I'm sure your nail tech has several kinds of nail glue on hand. Or you could buy nail glue at Sally. I'd recommend strongly not to use crazy glue! You may not be able to get it off with acetone.
Other tips are to use a thin layer of glue, let it dry about 45 - 60 seconds, and experiment with pulling the foil off slow/fast or at different angles.
