BALENCIAGA Florabotanica

Florabotanica evokes ambivalent bewitching beauty. Velvety and thorny, flirting with hemp and vetiver roots. The scent is flowery, developed on a rose note with a narcotic hemp twist. The wearer is beautiful but dangerous, like some rare botanical species. Florabotanica is the fragrance of the Balenciaga botanic garden. It instills the brand with modernity and colors. While Balenciaga Paris paid tribute to the genius of Cristobal, this scent celebrates Nicolas’s futuristic perspective. The various facets of Nicolas’s inspiration are reflected in the bottle and outer box. The rich and surprising mix match of architectural lines, vivid colors, and venomous floral prints recurrent in Balenciaga’s fashion are translated into Florabotanica’s unique packaging. Notes:Carnation, Wild Mint, Turkish Rose Essence, Hemp Leaves, Vetiver Roots, White Amber. Style:Beautiful. Dangerous. Rare.

I'm in my mid 30's and use this, I've even introduced people in their 20's to this fragrance and they fell in love with it as much as I did.

Honestly what do you deem as mature? If it smells good wear it! The fragrance is clean and fresh like a Spring day. Once you try it you will be hooked.

I wouldn't consider it a scent specifically for older women or young girls, although I doubt young girls would like it. It's a sophisticated sexy scent that would go perfect with a good leather jacket, denim cut offs, and a simple pair of black heels at night. If I had to pick an age, without limiting it (anyone can wear it, really) I'd say 25-30.

I don't recommend this for you. It's a little more sophisticated. I say 30+ plus it just doen't last at all. Go with something like Light Blue.

I am in my mid-20s and I think this perfume is sexy and fun! I think this is a classic scent that really can't be tied down to an age group. If it works on you go for it!

I'm in my late 40's but look younger and this is an amazing fragrance I would say for any age.
I don't wear heavy scents - hate them - and there is something so fabulous about this one. I used to wear Warm Cotton by CLEAN and Banana Republic's 'Woman' but this is the one for me now.
The fact that it lasts on my skin is also a HUGE plus.
I have gotten many compliments on it and it always lifts my spirits when I spray it on.

Florabotanica is a great scent...I don't get the "age" thing in regards to scent. If it works with your body chemistry, and smells good to you and on you, then who cares what age you are? Same with Men's scents..they carry many of the same notes. I will wear men's scents if it works with my chemistry and smells nice on me. However, if you like fruity, sugary candy scents, then Florabotanica probably isn't for you.

Depends on what you call a winter, or a summer scent. I feel that this could be either. It's very homey. It's a more mature scent, rather than a sweet sugary scent.

Personally, I would say fall and winter, but considering that it's a floral, some may prefer it during the spring and summer.

Yes. This has a spray top but be careful because when pressed, it puts out a lot of fragrance. Just lightly press the nozzle.

Question
How does Florabotanica compare to Fresh's Cannibus Rose?
Although I believe it's discontinued, I used to wear Fresh's Cannibus Rose. I'm wondering how this compares, The main notes in Cannibus Rose were Rose and Cannibus, and I believe a little musk. It seems Florabotanica has a couple of the same notes, although not many were listed, Has anyone tried both? How do they compare? Thanks in advance,

I have tried both, but I really didn't like the Cannabis Rose. There was a certain something about it, after I'd worn it for a while, that smelled medicinal. Actually, it somehow reminded me of an elderly great aunt, like camphor or bactine maybe... I get none of that with the new one from Balenciaga. It has kind of a woodsy undertone to me, kind of mossy. I love it. It's feminine and floral, but more sophisticated, and not at all sweet, which I like.

It is very much the same...except the flora is a tad more woodsy...can't go wrong, very sensual, warm, long lasting, just try it......you will love it....

I love both Cannabis Rose and Florabotanica. I think the Florabotanica is the more complicated of the two. It seems to me that the Cannabis Rose is a little more straight-forward, maybe a younger fragrance? Florabotanica is I think a little more sophisticated. Both are lovely.

No no no, I've smelled/used both of these, and they're not the same at all. Fresh is lovely and floral, and Balenciaga is clean and soapy.
