Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner

What it is: An ultrasmooth, waterproof, creamy eyeliner that applies with the silky finish of a gel and the precision of a liquid liner. What it does: This ultrasmooth creamy formula provides a silky soft finish with the precision of a liquid liner. Waterproof and designed for extended wear (up to eight hours), it is smudge-proof, transfer-resistant, and crease-free. Along with creating a fine, precise line and definition in one stroke, it also provides a beautiful, semi-matte, non-oily finish with full-coverage color. What else you need to know: Ophthalmologist-, dermatologist-, and allergy-tested to minimize the risk of irritation, this non-greasy, non-drying formula is suitable for contact-lens wearers and all skin types.

Questions & Answers for Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner

which is better - this cream liner or the bobbi brown gel liner?

I tried them both and I found that the Bobby Brown was a little stiffer/cake-ier, which I think makes it easier to apply. It did not, however make it through a full day of wear ( I do rub my eyes during the day). The Laura Mercier is super moist and lasts all day but it is more challenging to apply. For me texture is most important so I went for the Laura Mercier.

It's really a personal preference. This one's "softer" (creamier) than Bobbi Brown and I feel it fills in the sagging, senior eye creases better!

Bobbi Brown. Hands down. It's thicker and easier to apply. This has a thinner consistency and you have to build it too much.

Bobbi Brown gel liner, definitely!

I have tried both. LM creme liner is a lot more creamy and smooth than BB's gel liner. In my opinion, LM's creme liner in black is more pigmented that BB's. I know a lot of people say that BB's gel liner is waterproof but it didn't work out for me. Thus, LM creme liner has a longer staying power compared to BB's gel liner on my lids/lower lash line.

I have used the Bobbie Brown gel eyeliner. It dries out very quickly. There blue is darker than the Laura Mercer blue. I just bought it and is it a bolder blue. Not sure if I like the color yet.

I have similar coloring, and I like to add a bright blue liner with purple/lavender shadow to make it pop. It also looks great with the current emerald green shades this season, for a more dramatic evening look. Green compliments red hair well.

I have seen this liner shown with a very sheer, light, neutral all-over eyeshadow color, and it looked great.
