I have very oily/acne prone skin and have been using this product for a few weeks now... it has actually helped with my acne! I have tried so many other creams and lotions that have actually made me breakout! This is by far the best thing! I apply a lil every night all over my face and eye area and have seen/felt a difference!

I did break out with a couple of pimples after using it for 3 days...I think I used too much though...I have slightly oily skin at times...I think it's best to use when skin is dry or only on dry areas. Not sure if the product made me break out or it was that time of month because it was around the same time I usually get one or two pimples....so I can't know for sure if it was to blaim....I just use it sparely now and really like it.

No it is not oily at all. it absorbs into the skin very fast nd it does not feel greasy at all. You may be able to use it as a daily moisturizer if you want because I use pure Aragan oil as my daily moiturizer and it does not affect my skin in a negative way. The best advice I can give you is to use a miniscule amount at first and see how it works for a couple of days before you adopt it as your daily skin regimen.

Unless your hubby is offended by a light citrusy odor that fades quickly he shouldn't have a problem with the smell. My hubby uses it and he is a non"scents" kinda guy.

If he has dry flaky skin, get it !! It's truly amazing. That's basically what my face is like and since I've been using this, my skin has improved by a mile. The smell isn't too feminine (in my opinion), and besides, I recommend using this over night so I don't think the smell would matter too much when you're sleeping :) It definitely doesn't smell bad though. Ask for a sample, I guarantee after even just one night your husband will see a difference.

The scent is VERY light. My husband , who wouldn't use it if it smelled girly, used it yesterdy. I gave him some for his hands, he smelled it and didn't say anything negative, which he definitely would have done, if it was an issue.

Get it! It has a slight citrus-y smell to it that is not feminine at all which disappears. It is great for dry skin and you can use it all over. The texture is a bit unusual but it melts when it meets the heat of your skin. It doesn't absorb quickly so you need a minute or so before it is completely absorbed.

My saving grace for dry, irritated skin is Perricone's Hyper-allergenic Moisturizer, but you could subsitute Perricone's Face Finishing Moisturizer which is heavier. I do use this product on my face, but not all over and definitely not as a daily moisturizer. That's not what this is. This product is to be used - very sparingly - on excessively dry skin. I use this occassionally at bedtime on my cheeks & neck after my Perricone moisturizer has sunk in. I also found that using the liquid pure argan oil as a serum under the moisturizer has been a huge plus. I think what you need is the pure argan oil, but for me it alone was not enough so I had to use moisturizer on top of it. Order of products: Josie Maran 100% pure argan oil, Perricone moisturizer, then 2-3X a week I top with Josie Maran creamy oil on my cheeks, neck & under eyes.

I can't even tell you how many products I tried before this, but I had the same problem as you-- the moisture only lasted so long. i'm not sure about dryness and pilling due to medication, but i did recently forget to apply sunscreen before a 7 hour yard sale we held. i have really sensitive fair skin so i was b-u-r-n-t. i began peeling the next day. until i began peeling, i was just using my argon oil, when my skin began to peel i switched to using this every morning and evening in a liberal amount. there were still a few peeling areas at my hair line, but no where near as bad as i normally peel when i've been sunburnt. i really believe this saved my skin from the true repercussions it could have suffered from 7 hours in direct sun without sunscreen. i have gone almost all the way through it in a week helping my skin, so i'm not sure the price point of this would be feasible for someone that has more long-term peeling concerns due to medication.

For sure this helps with dry skin and it keeps your skin from peeling. The only thing is this is very rich and i would recommend only using this at night and to use sparingly cause a little goes a long way. If you wanted to use during the day i would suggest using the regular 100% argan oil or argan oil light.

I'm currently using a strong retina cream that my dermatologist prescribed me for acne as well. I ran out of eye cream and my skin is extremely flakey and dry around my eye area, on top of my cheek bones, and all around my lips and chin. I have a free sample of this creamy oil from a while back and started using it around my eyes and lips morning and night to moisturize. It doesn't work 100% but it does a pretty good job at making the skin look less dry and flakey. I'd say it's good, but probably not the best. I still can't decide what would be the best moisturizer for acne prone, medically treated skin.

This would probably work pretty well to treat dryness caused by Retin-A. If this product didn't work for you, the 100% Argan Oil definitely would. I occasionally need to use products even more drying than Retin-A and I have found that both products seems to work well. I would recommend that you get a sample from a Sephora store before purchasing or buy the Escape to Morocco Holiday Hair & Body Beautifiers set so that you can try both products.

Mine has no grit, so I would exchange it. I think the grits are from one of the many nut butters listed on the ingredients list. I've found that my 100% pure shea butter is very slightly gritty, so it's not unusual to find a little bit of grit with nut butters. Having said that, my Josie Maran tube of creamy oil is completely smooth.

A little goes a long way. The tube looks like it might not last long, but you only need a tiny bit if you're going to use it on your face or hands or for smaller areas, like elbows or heels. It comes out thick as a cream, then kind of melts in your hands as an oil. It can be used for face and body. The literature on the package lists numerous uses, even blending it with makeup.
