Questions & Answers for Tarte LipSurgence™ Skintuitive Lip Tint

Question
Is this a good natural shade for school?
I need a quick lipstick or gloss that will look natural enough for high school. I have light brown hair and blue eyes with pretty fair skin. I've used Tarte's lipstick in Enchanted, and I love it. Thoughts?

It's a very natural berry/pink color in the sense that it's not shocking and is a stain so there's no texture of a lipstick/gloss. However, it is noticeable that *something* is on your lips.

Since it adjusts to you, it's hard to tell what it will come out. But it tends to be more on a brighter pink/statement pink color on me.

I'm in high school too! I wear this every day and I think it is perfect for an everyday lip color at school! I reapply it in class with no mirror, not much maintenance involved.

It can be very natural with one quick swipe over the lips, or it can be layered for a deeper color.

I use this stuff almost every day, so I think it would be appropriate for school (I'm in the military, so we're not allowed to go overboard with our makeup and I wear it to work all the time) . It's subtle if you use it sparingly and adds a nice touch of color. I would recommend!

It can get a little bright. If you don't want bright pink lips in school I'd use something else because the color depends on your body temp and varies from light to bright darker pink. I love it though!

give it a shot especially if you are interested in the gift package that includes this a blush and the maracuja oil...I have the full size and love it...wear it almost every day. I have light skin, and blue green eyes. Just be careful not to reapply too often as colour can build up over time. apply once and then put either lip balm or gloss on top..Its really nice that way

I would definitely recommend this! I wear it to school almost every day - it's a very natural color, but if you want a stronger pink color, you just add a couple layers.

Absolutely! The reviews have people talking about how bright and fuscia the color is, but you will only get a dramatic color by putting on several layers. One layer is all you need for a rosy or peachy nude. Excellent for school.

I think it would be a great color for anyone. I'm using it for those days that I just want a little color to a natural look. I'm also in school and feel it works.

Question
When is this going to be in stock?
I have searched for this all over the internet and been to 6 Sephora locations near me (I live in Dallas, TX.). The demo for this product is always out on display in every store, but it's never ever in stock. This is incredibly disappointing. I've been hunting for it for well over a month. When will this item be in stock? If it's not coming back, please do everyone a favor and quit advertising it and getting everyone's hopes up!

These products are very popular and featured in many magazines and sell out fast. I searched several stores in NJ as well until I just ordered it here. I love that Sephora emails you when products are back in stock if you go to order it and it's not available.

Question
Bright Fuschia Pink?
I've tried *several* brands of the "your natural shade of pink" products (including Smashbox). The only one I haven't tried yet is the Dior one. I am fair, my lips are fairly full and have a light natural pinky nude color when bare. Every single one of these products turns bright garish fuschia pink on me (one actually had the ugly fuschia with a tinge of orange, if you can imagine). I've swatched them on my hand, walk around the store a bit to give it time to change, find the color flattering on my hand, buy it, but then when I actually put it on my lips it always turns into the ugly fuschia. There's no way I can use the sample in the store on my lips (yuck!). I'm just wondering if anyone knows if all these companies are using the same "intuitive" technology? If they do, I'm not even going to bother. I'm not a returner, so my friends and family score big with all my leftovers. =(

Tarte tint is definitely more in the bright pink category. It's hard to tell exactly what it will look like on you, but I'm also fair (pale) and actually own both Tarte and Dior. I use Tarte for more of a statement look, since it is somewhat bright on me. Dior is more tamed, natural and softer, yet still gives you the pink hue.

answer 2
This product is definitely PINK, but I find this one to be a more natural shade of pink than other hot Barbie pink or fuchsia "intuitive" products. The product's texture is translucent enough that my lips don't look coated in lipstick or lip gloss: it's more like a lip balm, and that makes the bright pink colour much more wearable.

It's basically a heat sensitive additive in the make-up. EX: I was eating ice cream one day, then reapplied, my lips were a drastically different color. Since everyone's internal body temperature ranges around 98.6 degrees F, the color change will be subtle, but always a watermelon pink to fuchsia color. My lips were nearly red when they were cold.

The description you gave of yourself lets me think that you would have about the same results than me so here. I really like this lipcolour, it does make your lips pink but not in an unnatural way. It works more in a way that my boyfriend doesn't think im wearing makeup when I'm wearing this.

Disregard the answer, "Made in China." This product is made in the United States of America. There are a few of their products made in China, however, others are made in Italy and other countries. You have to do your research for each one, but I can definitely say this specific product, along with the blush version are made in the USA. Tarte was just bought out by a Japenese company, KOSE, so who knows where they will be made in the future. Hopefully this was helpful. I'm always concerned about where my products are made, too.

Dior is more moisturizing. It's a good idea to moisturize your lips and let it absorb before applying Tarte tint. Otherwise, your lips might look 'cracked'.

If you're looking for more of a pink color statement, this is more vibrant and gives you more of a pink hue. Dior is more subtle and natural looking, yet still pink (no mistaking it for a sheer gloss). I love both products and use them interchangeably, depending on occasion/outfit.

This lip product gives off a lot more "pink" than the Dior one. If you want a lot more color, or if your lips happen to be darker, go for this. The dior lip is a lot more natural and just give a flush of color.
