Questions & Answers for Clarisonic Cleansing Brush Head Value Pack

Question
Smelly brush head!?!?
My husband and I both have our own brush heads that we use. My husband's brush has started to smell like mildew after two weeks of use, but mine has no smell at all. We dry our heads the same way, so I'm not sure why his would smell and mine would not. Does anyone have any clue why this might happen or what we can do to prevent/help it? Even after washing his head with soap, it still stinks!

Just an additional note: I do wash the brush every week. I've been using dish soap and rubbing alcohol when cleaning it now and it seems to have made a difference. Thanks for all the responses.

I wash mine in a bleach solution about once a month, I never had a smelly one.
I do it to deep clean it.

I used to wash the brush head with a bit of Hibiclens (antiseptic/antimicrobial cleanser) and warm water after every use, shake the water out and swipe the brush over a paper towel a few times (to speed up the drying process). When I ran out of Hibiclens one day, I tried antibacterial hand soap but it did not leave the same clean smell once it dried, so I washed the brush again with the hand soap and a splash of 91% rubbing alcohol and that did the trick (cheaper than Hibiclens, but not as convenient). I know the Clarisonic instructions are to do a thorough wash with soapy water once a week, but I really don't think that's enough.

All brush heads work for all brush types except for the body brush head which only works on the Plus or Pro Clarisonic.

Because of the price, I change my brush head every 5 months and it is fine. I have been doing this for 3 years and have had perfect results.

I've read that the brush heads should be changed once every three months. I believe that assumes once daily use, so I would change them more or less frequently depending on how often you use your Clarisonic.

Every Clarisonic model has the same sized head so they use the same brush heads. It's a really great feature so there's no guesswork involved and no confusion. The only exception to this rule is Clarisonic Plus, which is the only model that can accommodate the body brush head.
