Why does this peel make my face oily?
I am 25, have combination skin, and have been battling acne blemishes since I was a teenager. I have been using the Dr. Dennis Gross peel for 9 days now, and I notice a huge difference in my skin. This is the only product I have ever tried that has cleared up my skin. I couldn't be happier with my skin's appearance. However, I have noticed that my skin has become extremely oily since I started using the peel. I have totally discontinued using moisturizer and am having to blot a couple of times of day. Is anyone else experiencing excessive oil with this product? Is this normal?

I would say that your oiliness has more to do with discontinuing your moisturizer. Even the oiliest of skin types needs a moisturizer after a thorough cleansing. If you are putting moisture into your skin, your pores will adapt and stop producing as much. Dr Perricone has a great one for oily/acne skin, you could also try a serum from Lush Cosmetics.

I wish I had an answer for you. I have oily skin and this has made it much worse. The only thing I could think of is that it is exfoliated the dead skin cells from the pores and making it easier for them to breath. Pores always have oil moving through them and maybe since they aren't clogged they are still producing a lot to "unclog"
