Yea, my hair is black and showed up on me. I used quick, light strokes and it was really nice....you can make it more intense too. I don't know about the pink and purple, but the blue showed up, but it was a bit more turquoise on me.

Can I use this product with heat styling?

I'm highly interested in purchasing this product. I'm worried that it might stain my hot styling tools? Can this dye be applied first and then sealed with a flat iron without staining?

Yes you can use heat stylers with this product, it actually helps the color lock in better and not leave residue if you touch your hair.

I have dark brown, curly hair, and I really like the blue. I tried the purple and the blue in the store before deciding on the blue. While the purple is pretty, it wasn't as vibrant in my hair as the blue. In my hair the blue looks like a light turquoise and I've gotten many compliments when I wear it. I didn't get the chance to try out the pink, but between blue and purple I prefer the blue.

I don't know about instant conditioners, but I've found that using hairspray sets the color nicely. I have dark brown hair and I purchased this in blue. It goes on easily, and it comes of just as easily. I personally like this because you can just shake it out if you mess up. Once you have the color where you want it, spray it with some hair spray (I use Herbal Essance Body Envy) and the color will stay all day. I've even had it last overnight and into the next morning with a hair spray setting.
