Questions & Answers for Marula Pure Marula Facial Oil

Question
Can you use the Marula oil near the eye area or on the eye lashes?
I'm trying to get my lashes to grow and I like to use vitamin E oil on them at night time. I was just wondering if you can use the Marula oil near the eye area or on the lashes. Thank you for your help.

All I can tell you is that I do use it on my eyelids so I'm sure some gets on my lashes. I'm sensitive to everything but I don't know that I would put too much on my lashes. I looked on the official website also and that isn't mentioned. If you are allergic to nuts at all you wouldn't want to put it near your eyes.

I use it around my eyes but not on the eyelashes. It is an oil after all and I don't want it getting in my eyes. I have had no problems with any irritation.

Question
compared to other oils?
I love Josie Maran Argan oil and have tried Tarte Maracuja oil. How does this compare?

I much prefer the Tarte Maracuja oil because I found it to be much lighter. Since I've always had dry skin, and at 63 I'm really getting old:), I put a moisturizer over it.

I couldn't have considered the Marula Oil because I was allergic to it, but I didn't like the matte finish. My personal opinion is that a dewy finish is much more becoming, not just to me, but to all women.

I have tried all 3 of these oils as well. The Tarte oil I find too greasy and the smell way too earthy. This oil isn't as greasy but it has a sickly sweet smell which I don't like. My favorite of the three would have to be the Josie Maran product, although I find it rather greasy also. But at least it has a nice smell. Hope this helps.

Does anyone use a treatment serum before this oil (when using the Marula oil as a moisturizer)? Or do you use this as the "main serum" and then leave it?

Question
What are the other ingredients or essential oils?
It says that it includes an essential oil blend (in addition to the marula oil) that provides a "fresh, light fragrance". But what are these essential oils? It's important to know especially for those who have allergies to certain oils.

Could you please tell me what the essential oils are? For example, any orange oils or citrus oils? Most of those are phototoxic and irritate my skin.

Question
Marula Oil vs Nude ProGenius Oil?
I have sensitive acne-prone, easily clogged, combination (oily/dry) skin. I'm starting to get wrinkles and fine lines on my forehead and underneath my eyes.

I'm trying to decide which oil is better.... this Marula Oil, or Nude ProGenius Treatment Oil? :)

Hi! Marula is very healing and great for sensitive skin in addition to having antiaging benefits. Nude is great & a true antiaging treatment but it's full of actives that might be irritating if you are super sensitive. good luck on yoru oils

My box says 99% Marula Oil, Essential Oil Fragrance Blend (linalook, limonene). I don't know what Linalook is, but Limonene sounds like lemon & it does have a lemony fragrance. It's probably just a tiny bit for the smell.

It definitely depends on your skin's needs. I find that during the day this oil serves as my only moisturizer and primer. However, at night I use this in conjunction with another moisturizer (currently using Embryolisse Lait Creme).

You definitely do NOT need a moisturizer over this, nor do you need eye cream or anything else. Being that I live in NY and it's winter, my morning routine is to put this on right after the shower, let it absord, and then follow with a light application of my favorite BB cream to even things out a bit, and then some powder. That's it! On nights when I want a full face of makeup, I put this on and then my foundation right over it and I don't need anything else.

I apply the oil and allow a couple minutes to absorb (so I'll brush my teeth or do something else for a minute) and then I apply my day cream or night cream. I found I couldn't completely go without a moisturizer or after an hour you'd be dry.

Question
Is marula oil good for under the eyes too? My skin is on the oily side with a few crow feet
My eyes are sensitive and I am wondering if the oil under the eyes can contribute to the milia bumps some eye creams give you due to a heavy texture.
Also concerned about the fragrance. Josie's oil has been ok.
looking for something a little better.

This is better than Josie Maran's oil, and it definitely did NOT give me those little bumps under my eyes, that I used to get with rich creams. I found that this oil is so lightweight, that after a minute of putting it on, it absorbs into the skin. I was hesitant, too....but I have been nothing but happy with this product.

Question
Are there supposed to be particles in the oil?
I just received my online purchase of the 1oz Marula Oil and when I opened it there were white clumps on the dropper and floating in the bottle.

Is this normal?
