Question
Can I use this for liquid foundation?
Can the tube be used for liquid foundation?

I don't see why it couldn't be. However, if you aren't planning on taking a lot of liquid foundation I would use something smaller like the jar in this set instead of the larger pump bottle.

Yes, I don't see why not.

answer 3
Sure. Test it with water first, though (filled to the top), so you understand how it works -- and have confirmed that the bottom gasket doesn't leak air (mine did, but yours may not!). If it leaks air, the gasket won't rise as you use up your product, and you'll be unable to use the rest of your foundation (but it may be hard to see that's what's happening because foundation is opaque!).

answer 5
Absolutely. I'm using it for my BB cream. It works well with liquid/cream products and it's very easy to control how much comes out of it.

I believe that tool is to push any creams other than liquid form into the airless pump, therefor the product can function through properly for the pump to work when it is filled up.

answer 2
It's just a solid piece of plastic that is used to open the pump when empty in order to refill with product.

the cylinder is a "push" stick. it pushes the bottom of the airless pump back down so you can refill it.

answer 4
If you mean the skinny one that looks like a clear straw, it is to fill the pump with your product of choice such as liquid foundation, shampoo, etc. - it requires the tube as the 'airless' pump doesn't just open and you pour in the product...
Hard to explain, but it is for filling the pump bottle.
Hope that helps!

Yes, it is. Follow the directions carefully, though, and consider testing it with water first so you understand how it works. Mine in this set leaked air, though, so bad luck on that. Yours may be fine. :)

You can unscrew the top off to add more product. They provide a plastic stick to push down the product from the tops/edges of the container so that you can re-fill it as needed!

answer 2
Yes, the top with the pump unscrews easily and you can wash out the inside with a bottle brush or similar. Use the (included) clear plastic stick to push the gasket down to the bottom of the tube to refill once you've used up the initial fill.

You can fill it multiple times. There's a little stick that comes with it to help you get the new product in.

Both are labeled as 0.51 fl oz. Unless you are going on a LONG trip, or are putting things in there that you use a lot of at a time (e.g. shampoo or conditioner -- 0.5 oz is small for that!), that is PLENTY. It would take me about 3 months to go through 0.5 fl oz of foundation, or a year to get through that much eye cream. :) Wish Sephora would offer these in smaller sizes!
