I'm fair as well. The product only comes in one shade. When I first saw the cream I freaked because it's dark but when you apply it it's more like a sheen and doesn't translate to a dark color to your face. It didn't make my face look darker as I said it is like a sheen color. Like putting a nude stocking on. It looks dark but when you wear it, it's your shade.

Question
How does this BB cream work for medium skin tones?
I am looking for a BB cream that works best on a Golden Light/Medium skin tone- I have a light olive skin tone with brown hair and blue eyes. I find that some of the other BB creams, while providing a flawless complexion, appear to light on my skin. I am interested in this one due to all the positive reviews and the idea of an illuminating BB. Any thoughts?

I have a medium skin tone with yellow/golden undertones (light skinned Indian), and this "Illuminating" balm looked all wrong on me. It has pinkish blue undertones that combined to make me look oddly asphyxiated and reddened. Dislike! The texture is decent though.

I am Hispanic with olive skin and brown hair. If it helps at all, I use

I have olive skin and I tan. I'm a medium in Sephora's powders. I use this product and it's the best I've ever used as a foundation. It's light, smells wonderful and doesn't feel like makeup. The coverage can depend on whether or not you have blemishes. When I do I use a small about of Sephora's concealer. Since using my skin looks amazing, and I'm told that as well. There is SPF 30 in this which is an added bonus.

I have medium skin tone- dark hair, dark eyes- works great with any skin tone. The powder foundation on top and with bronzer warms your skin up. This almost works like a primer that gives you skin a glow. Omits that matte look that ponders sometimes give. Doesn't have sparkle, just a light Dewey look.

I have just the same skin tone as you except hazel eyes! I absolutely love this stuff!! I used boscia bb cream before this one and although I loved it too I found that it was too much coverage for me!! So if you're looking for more coverage you might want to try boscia bb cream and it adjusts to our medium/olive skin just great!! BUT if you're looking for a lighter coverage this one is IT!!! It adjusts PERFECTLY to your skin and doesn't feel like you have makeup/foundation on at all!! It evens skin tone and just illuminates your skin so nicely!! Another trick if you just lightly brush a loose powder on over it, it sets and it stays ALL DAY!! Well I hope this helps!!

I reall like it, but I have light skin. I don't know if it will have enough coverage for you. I like the dewy effect the shimmer gives. It's not shiny like glitter, just dewy. I have been combining this with other foundations or BB creams to get the coverage I want with the dewy look. You might try that if this doesn't give you enough coverage alone. (I either mix the two together and apply or but the Stil on first and the product with more coverage just in the areas I need more coverage).

I have sensitive skin and I've noticed that products which contain titanium dioxide are usually the culprit. Had to return my Sugar lip balm, which I loved a lot because it starting breaking me out around my lip line which never happened before. So now I try to avoid titanium dioxide like the plague! This states that it "may contain" a small amount of titanium dioxide. It is not listed as an active ingredient, nor a percentage given so that was good. It is also free of sulfates and parabens. So far it's been good for me.

The Stilla BB cream only comes in one shade which means that it won't be a perfect match for almost anyone. The best way to see if this product would work would be to get a sample. Light medium skin to light would most likely be okay but very fair skin depending on skin undertones could make the face appear a little off in color also not a good product for darker skin.

I think this would definitely work for you. I was nervous trying something that said it would "illuminate", because my skin is very fair, however the color of the BB doesn't combat your skin tone. Instead it seems to even out an red-ness or flaws, so I think it would blend great with medium skintone.

A BB cream can be worn alone for light coverage or before applying foundation or mixed in with foundation. The purpose of BB cream is to reduce redness, appearance of scars and even out the skin surface. Basically the BB cream is supposed to take the place of a primer, moisturizer, tinted moisturizer.

Bb creams can be used to replace your moisturizer and foundation. They are a combination product of treatment, moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup. I prefer to still use a moisturizer because I have drier skin, but that's just me. Also, many people like to "set" their bb cream with powder, just like you would do with a foundation. Some bb creams (like Urban Decay's) is meant to be more of a foundation primer. Read the individual descriptions on Sephora's website for exact application info.

I love bb creams to layer under foundation. They act like a primer, have SPF, etc. Some even ad luminosity. I also often wear it alone when I'm just going out to run errands. Think of it as a charged up tinted moisturizer. My favorite is smash box. It has decent coverage and more color options than the other brands. Always put regular moisturizer on first and let it sink in first. Then apply be cream with your fingers. Rub it in like lotion, not like foundation.
Good luck!

I've only just started to use this, but I put it on in place of my usual liquid foundation, or instead of foundation and powder. It's kind of a high class tinted moisturizer, but works better than any tinted moisturizer I've ever tried.

How you use bb cream would depend on what you want from your beauty routine. BB cream will moisturize, smooth, and prime your skin. It also has a slight tint to even out your skin tone. I have dry skin so I layer it over my moisturizer, and I have fairly even skin with no breakouts so I find that the light coverage the BB cream provides is all I need.
The BB cream would be perfect for a day at the beach, since it provides enough coverage for a confidence boost, and it is also waterproof and has sunscreen (although you would have to re-apply every so often just like sunscreen)
While the BB cream alone looks great, it can also be a great base for your foundation if you prefer more coverage. When I have a formal occasion or decide I need more coverage, I layer a powder foundation over my BB cream. I find that the light coverage powder foundation plus the light coverage BB cream combine well to hide all of my imperfections while looking completely natural.

answer 6
bb creams or beauty balms provide skin benefits along with light coverage. Depending on which bb cream you choose you will get different skin benefits (like moisturizer, spf, primer, etc) and different levels of coverage (most give only light coverage but can be layered for more coverage). You apply it after washing your face (on dry skin) as its suppose to moisturize, prime, cover (light coverage, not as much as foundation), and provide SPF amoing other benefits. I still use moisturizer and makeup primer before applying bb creams (or tinted moisturizer) because I feel it gives a bettter effect. But you could just apply this after washing/drying your face followed by powder if you need it (to add coverage and/or prevent oiliness) and eye/lip/cheek makeup. This takes the place of foundation as it gives some coverage, but does not give full coverage like a foundation so if you need full coverage using a bb cream alone won't do (you can use concealer and powder on top of bb cream for more coverage).

I have medium skin and blonde hair. I also have huge pores, occasional acne, and occasional redness. I only used a concealer under my eyes and on a spot, and the Stilla product did a wonderful job of creating a smooth canvas and correcting my color. I did not use an additional cream or foundation on top of it, and the color and look of my skin was noticeably better.

It does oxidize to an orangy shade that doesn't do well on very fair skin. I use as a primer only under my eyes and upper cheek bones (and a light swipe on my nose and chin) where I apply several other products over it (concealer, blush, setting powder). This helps moderate the orange cast. I do like it, but I cannot use it as a full face product.

I am pretty fair and I love this stuff for when I want some extra colour. In the summer when I'm tanned I use it all over my face and in the winter I use it just to contour. I don't find it too orange-y on my skin but the undertones in my skin work really well with bronze based colours. I recommend you get a sample from sephora and try it out because if the colour works for you I highly recommend the product.
