Apply this at night when your makeup is off and you won't be applying any afterwards so nothing mixes with the self tanner and to avoid patchiness. :)

After a few days, i didn't need foundation, just powder. I did put foundation on afterwards once and it mixed well! eyelinger, shadow, and eyebrows went on amazing too..actually faster since the lotion didn't soak in right away

I did that once and it did not look right. I use it the night before, then use astringent in the morning, moisturize and then apply makeup.

yes, but i wouldn't use foundation. you don't need it. plus, it's greasy so you'd feel like you had too much on your face.

I put lotion on as soon as I get out of the shower. Makeup is one of the last things I put on when getting ready. I'm not sure if it matters.

Yes, you can apply makeup after applying the self tan but make sure it has fully absorbed onto your skin for at least 20 minutes.

I don't want it to grab too much, so I use a light moisturizer at least 15 minutes before , then apply it.

yes. i usually alternate days with a self tanner so it doesn't turn me orange. but they have an spf in it so you use it in place of your daily moisturizer. they're very heavy.

Not so sure myself. I have used both with and without another moisturizer. Seems okay by itself.

Question
Use of additional moisturizer or foundation with SPF
If I want to apply a product with SPF (such as another moisturizer), would I put the SPF cream on my face first, or do I apply this self-tanner first and then the SPF? I am concerned that whichever I put on first would keep the second product from working. I tried a store sample of this tanner for several days and really like this product...very natural looking. But I live in FL and sunscreen is a must!!!

No. It has a built in spf. But you should buy the Clarins self tanner instead, or just go for a bronzer.

I use Bobby Brown's tinted moisturizer with SPF- I put the tanner on first then the moisturizer. When I washed my face the tinted moisturizer came off but the tan was still there :) love this product!! :)

I use my acne medication on my face first, mosisturizer and all, so I don't think it would hurt to put the SPF on before this product. I've already noticed a difference in two uses and that was with using my acne products before hand.

Hope this helps!! :)

Avoid those areas! Your eyelids and under eyes are very sensitive. A little high light under your eyes is in anyway. :)

answer 2
I personally do, 'cause if you don't this area is going to appear a bit lighter than the rest of your face. Just be careful not to put some in them ;)

I have sensitive/dry skin and this did break me out a bit. Also, didn't really get any color from it. The tanning towelettes (can't remember the brand) are much better!

Question
How often should it be used?
Should this be used every day (/night -- which is when I use it), or should I alternate days? Or should this be used only a few times a week?

Also, if I exfoliate the next day will that ruin the tan?

Thanks!

I am fairly light skinned, use it once a day (in the morning), and do not notice any tanning effect whatsoever. Maybe if you consistently used it morning and night you would get a subtle tan.
