What it is: A daringly vivid, full-coverage lip color with a gentle plumping effect and seductive satin finish. What it does: This smooth, creamy, ultra-hydrating lipstick offers a major plumping effect without the tingle. Questions & Answers for Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick

Question
What do you think of Hooligan? Also what do you think of Nudist?
I would also like to hear from anyone who has tried these great (looking) new Buxom Lipsticks! Always hard to tell the colors from Sephora's swatches. Was much more helpful when I could compare them with swatches from other companies who carried Buxom. NUDIST looks like it could work as a base and mixed with a lot of things and HOOLIGAN looks like a good color for me but I'd also love to hear about any of the colors and also any comparisons to prior BE and Buxom lipcolors! THANKS

I have only tried, Hooligan and Menace. Love the deep red from Menace. And as for Hooligan, I didn't find it to be anything special, it kind of blended in with my normal lip colour. All it did was just darken my original lip color by a bit which is nice for a simple look. It didn't really make my lips pop out, so I guess Hooligan would be a good choice if you want to go for the simple, minimalistic look.

I have Hooligan and Two Timer. I absolutely adore Hooligan. I have fair skin with pink undertones and this is a really pretty shade that adds a nice pop to my lips without standing out too much. I find Two Timer looks a lot pinker on my lips and I save that for daytime/outdoor activities. The Hooligan is a great, daily color that matches practically everything. You can layer a gloss over it to give it a little different shade.

Nudist would work well as a base. I use it as my everyday go to now because I love how it feels. I am fair skinned and it looks very natural.

Hooligan is a great color! If I could describe it and the Sephora MA helped me out on this too...its like a pinky-brown color. It looks even better if you add a gloss to it. I find this color to be pretty neutral. Looks gorgeous with bold eyes look.

Nudist would make a good base but way too light as a lipstick.

Hooligan is/might be a tad dark on lighter skin girls, I think. It's a darker mauve than I've usually seen. On my medium latina skin (nc35, mufe pro finish 123) it works perfectly! A fave of mine is Two-Timer, a dusty rose color that is the perfect office lipstick for me. They're very moisturizing and lasted above the five hour mark for me, and left a stain effect past that (I prep and exfoliate and wear a lip primer, so that might need to be taken to account). They're very creamy so I suggest not layering it on, as it might bunch up on the lines of the lips, plus they're pretty darn pigmented so one or two swipes should do! The other nude shade, that one did not work very well on me, it was so pale and made me look washed out. I could see it work on lighter skinned girls with a bit more pink on their skin than my own tan/yellow.

I have this in nudist; but I was looking for a nude shade. I think it looks good on it's own but I'm sure it would work as a base. I usually use lip balm and this certainly feels like one. I wouldn't do more than one coat regardless of how you use it though, with one coat it looks like a pinky nude (on me) but not washed out - I tried to reapply it once when I thought it was completely off and looked like I had fainted. I like buxom's colors but usually don't believe the hype about lip plumping, but the finish isn't matte so I can see how it makes lips look fuller.

Not really a blue-red undertone. Hard to describe, more like a brownish pink over nude is the best way I can describe it.

There are two reds in this line and the one that is blue red is Scoundrel. The shade that you are looking at-Provocateur- is a true red-not blue red or pinkish and not corally or orange. It is definitely a warmer red than the Scoundrel.

I own this lipstick and it shows up on my lips as a warm, rosey neutral shade :)! I love the color payoff and the longevity but as it wears it does have a little stickiness to it which is bearable but if that's a concern to you then it's nice to know! I think that's why it last a little longer than a normal lipstick.

I would say warm, but I honestly think it would work for warm and cool. It's a nice pinky/mauve with brown undertones. Very natural looking. Honestly, I used to love Amsterdam but now this is my favorite.

It is a warm color that almost borders on being neutral(neither cool or warm), although I find it has more yellow based undertones. If I want it to look a little more "cool", I use a cooler lip pencil. I always change the colors of my favorite lipsticks with different though NEVER contrasting lip liners! If I use a lip liner that is the color of my lips, the true color of the lipstick will shine through.

I have dark hair & bright green eyes w/fair skin & red undertones, I'd never be able to pull off exhibitionist. To magenta-y. Two Timer looks great w/my skin tone. The sales woman I spoke with at Sephora was wearing it too and she had blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Two Timer looked amazing on her. It's a vibrant pink's pink without the loud red of a magenta.

I, too, am very fair with blue eyes and blonde hair and I loved this lipstick in this particular color. When you wear this lipstick, don't wear tons of eye make-up. Just use some brown (not black) mascara, letting your mouth be the focus of your face. Very retro. It's a head-turner - in a good way!

Although you and I have opposite hair and eye colors we have our fair skin tone in common. I would say that the exhibitionist lipstick is an amazingggg color. I absolutely love it and it looks great on alot of different people. When I went to Sephora to get it there was a huge crowd around the buxom brand area and just about everyone was waiting to try on exhibitionist. I would have to say I saw just about every combination of hair, eye and skin tone color try it on and it looked great on literally everyone I saw. If you are into bold lips I would highly suggest exhibitionist.

It's a great lipstick and def plumps the lips like it's supposed to. But it is not long-lasting at all :( Even if I don't eat or drink anything, the color seems to fade on it's own within an hour. And it's completely gone when I do use my lips for anything.

I tried it. I'm not a fan. I generally wear pretty vivid lipcolors, but this one was more Clown than Vivid. Unless you take the time to tap a little of the color onto your finger and then tap it onto your lips (something I picked up from watching the fabulous makeup artist Lisa Eldridge), you will end up with with an insane amount of bright color on your lips. Hoping that Buxom develops some different shades that are more flattering to real women's faces. Soon.

Yes. I ordered it in the color Two-Timer. It is supposed to be a Dusty Rose. But, it is not rose at all!! It is a ugly Rusty Coral. The color description is wayyy off. That being said...It is a creamy and moisturizing lipstick with no noticeable plumping of the lips for me.

AliciaKP, please do not mock this question because it is a very legitimate one. I am gluten intolerant and I cannot even TOUCH anything with gluten in it, let alone put it on my lips! Instead, please be grateful that you do not have to worry about such a serious problem and have some compassion for those with food/chemical intolerances.

Question
Centerfold???
I purchased the Serial Kisser mini full bodied lip set and absolutely love the shade centerfold. I came to purchase it in a full size and do not see it her on sephora's website or buxom's. Is it an exclusive color? Will it ever be available individually?

I'd also like to purchase Buxom Full-Bodied in Centerfold. From what I can recall it is a cool dusty pink-mauve. Hints more toward lavender-gray than brown. This product offers no similar shade. I thought Hooligan might work but it is deeper and more brown. Two Timer is too warm. Mistress is bright warm bubblegum pink. I try to create something similar by layering Buxom Full-On Lip Sticks in Vienna & Acapulco w/ a little Las Vegas or San Francisco or Brooklyn. Comes out nice, not exactly like Centerfold. Hope they make it SOON!

i don't notice a plumping "feeling" at all. for me, the plumping effect that the description refers to is a bit of a misnomer. the lipstick goes on thick, so it smoothes out my lips. they may appear more plump, but there isn't a plumping or tingling action. that being said, i do like this lipstick.

Hi Diamata, this product plumps with the use of hyaluronic spheres. These are dehydrated spheres that fill up with water when in the skin. These spheres do not create a tingling sensation in the skin.
