It doesn't need a sharpener. You twist the silver end to expose more product. It's a bit like twisting a lipstick.

This stick has a twist function on the buttom. You will not need a sharpener. Just like any lipstick you apply it holding it a bit tilted to avoid flattening it completely.

No you do not need a sharpener. It twists up from the bottom. If you want to refine the pointed end, just use a tissue and gently smooth the end to a refined tip.

This lip balm goes up and down in the case when you twist it, just like a lipstick. I have never sharpened any of mine. I just use one side all the time so that it doesn't get flat on top. I like mine to have an angle like a lipstick, so mine don't stay pointy in the center. They're very soft, so a sharpener would probably just make a big mess.

The color! This looks more like lipstick when applied than the non-'intense' one! It could just be my perception, but the other line of lip balms were *very* sheer on my lips. I felt both were the same in terms of their moisturizing properties.

IMO, it's the color that's more intense. I don't notice a huge difference in the moisturizing. This is from comparing my regular Super Strawberry to the intense Curviest Caramel. The curviest caramel goes on more opaque, like a lipstick, while the super strawberry is more sheer, like a tinted lip balm.

The color, definitely. That being said, I love the moisture-level! I'm a chapstick-addict, and for the days that I wear Chubby Stick Intense, it replaces my need for chapstick entirely.

Hi Islandlife. The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm is described by the brand as not quite sheer, not quite opaque—but something perfectly in between. It has more pigment than the original formula.

I think it will look good on you! You should definitely try it before buying any lipstick with a strong bright red color. This one can also act as bright red lipstick and what's good about this product is that it is a lip balm, so you can be minimalist with it and it stays the whole day! your lips won't feel chappy at all!

I am Caucasian, but I think Broadest Berry would work for anyone but especially for those with light-medium to deep skintones--maybe not for those who are ultra-fair. Works for me anyway! Very flattering shade and appropriate for day or evening.

Question
Best color
I'm wondering what color would be best for me. I got the Maraschino as a sample, and love the way it feels, but the color is just not right for me. It's not a good red for me, it's just too bright. I have green eyes, and my skin tone is cool. The coral is probably out for me, as well as the raspberry pink. Which of the other colors are the best for someone who wants intense, but not bright?

Considering your skin tone, eye color, and desired lip color, I recommend the coral shade. The coral will really bring out your green eyes. also, if you pair a slightly coral blush and hi light onto your cheeks, the coral chubby stick will definitely brighten up your light skin tone. All in all, this product in a coral shade would be beautiful on you!! :)

I was looking for the same thing, no bright or coral colors but still a pop of color on my lips. I went with Grandest Grape and I absolutely LOVE it. It has a bit of a plum tone to it, but not full on purple. A really lovely color, I wore it on the same day and got a few compliments. I suggest trying a swatch at your local Sephora.

If you want something intesne, go with the bite set. I am fair skinned, blonde and got blue eyes. Not every color fits me. I have the roomiest rose by Clinique which looks nice but honestly, the lasting power and color vibrance from Bite is way more intense. In any case, I would go to the store and swatch the colors and see which you like best on yourself.
