Questions & Answers for AmorePacific Luminous Effect Brightening Masque

Question
Throw away & reuse?
Is this a reuseable mask? Or one you throw away? Is there a serum that you reapply to use again? Can someone please explain how this is used? Thanks

It is a throw away mask. You can carefully collect the remaining serum left over in the pouch and apply that serum to your face throughout the week. I would estimate the pouch yields 15mls of serum.

The masks are one time use only. We do not recommend reusing masks by applying other products to it for sanitary purposes.

Question
Which side of the masque goes against the face, the smooth or textured side. I bought the masque box and believe I've been using it incorrectly.
I find the masque clumsy and messy and am confused which side should be against the face. The results of the first 3 have been less than stellar. I think it's because I'm applying the wrong side of the masque. One side is smooth and the other textured. Which side should be directly on the face?

Not the mask that is 50% opaque. The 90% translucent mask is the mask to be applied to the face. The idea is to put the translucent sheet against the skin and carefully peel away the opaque sheet. That is to help prevent the translucent sheet from folding and sticking together which could result in unequal product on the mask.

The first time using it may e a little confusing. This mask, unlike most other, has 2 backing sheets. Not hard to figure out actually.

I use the textured side...but I believe it is the product , not the mask itself that makes the difference. I poor the remaining product from the pouch into small container and use it once a week or before I go somewhere special. maybe this product just doesn't work for your skin..

The 90% translucent masque is the sheet to be applied to your face. The 50% opaque sheet is on the translucent one to help prevent the translucent sheet from folding and sticking together which results in uneven product distribution on the masque.

I used to live in Korea where they have this type of mask everywhere and I'm using this mask now, so I feel like I'm pretty qualified to answer this question, though I am not an expert.

There are three layers when you pull the mask out: a plastic layer that has writing on it, a papery, white layer with the serum on it, and a clear plastic-like layer.

When you pull the mask out, take off the layer with writing on it and unfold the mask (it comes folded in half). Then, put the mask on your face with the papery white side sitting on your skin. Finally, take off what will now be the top layer, the clear plastic-like layer. Adjust the white papery layer so that it covers your face in all the right places, You're good to go!

Yes and no. After you use this product, rub/ press in the remaining serum product from the masque into your face. Let that dry and absorb completely then you can continue with your moisturizer and make-up. No need to add serum as the product in the masque is an intense serum.
Once you apply the masque be sure to carefully transfer the remaining product inside the pouch into a sealable container. You can use this serum through out the week and extend your investment.

Question
how often should this be used?
I have read the limited info that describes how to apply this but I see nothing about how often. Is there an optimum time between applications or a time frame in which it is not advisable to use it again for fear of skin irritation? For the price, the info is necessary.
