YES! At least 3 times the size. All the mascaras are full size...except for 2 but they are still a good value size!

Yes it is bigger than the eyeliner and lipgloss box. The pic may be deceiving because they are showing you the bottle and wand, but take a look at the different wands. It's awesome that they work on falsies!!

last years lash stash included a little *ticket* that you could take to sephora, and return for a mascara that was your favorite.

No, it doesn't. You might be thinking of the certificate that's worth 100 points if you buy one of the products. There was never a certificate for a free full-size. It already comes with a full-size (*two* actually.) Last year the full-size mascaras were Sephora and Stila, if I recall. This year it's Smashbox and Fiberwig. A better deal, IMO.
That is, however, how the fragrance samplers work. They don't come with anything full-sized, but you get to go pick one out yourself as you described!

I know that Stila Stay All Day is, it's listed that way on the product page and one of the reviewers said it definitely stays put and takes a bit of work to get off. but i'm not certain about the durability of the others. you'd have to check the listings & reviews for them individually.

One is waterproof 2 others are smudge proof. Have worn most of them and they stay put, with the exception of maybe 2 or 3

The Stila is the only one that is technically waterproof but there are a few tubing mascaras that are water resistant and can be removed only by gently massaging it out with a little warm water at the end of the day.

Should I use them interchangeably or one by one?
Wondering about those who try to make the kit last a year: do you open one mascara, use it all, and then open the new one to avoid dryness or do you use them all together?

Last year I opened them all at once, but then had to discard them too soon! My advice (and what I'm doing this year) is opening one at a time. The small sizes are enough for a month, and the full size for three months (or more, but I always throw them out at that point for safety) - if you do it that way the kit will last a full year.

I love mixing them up. I like my bottom lashes to be thinner than my top lashes so this box definetly gives you room to play.

I use them all, that way I can actually see a difference between them. Yeah, that means they will dry out sooner, but I can at least narrow it down to favorites.

Depends on how economical you want to be. Personally, I can't spend $20 on a single mascara, and I actually prefer the sample sized mascaras as most mascaras dry out after a month regardless of size, so this set is a win-win! I aim to use one mascara a month but since they are all different and you never know what you are going to get, I always leave some room for trial and error. If I LOVE a mascara brush one month and hate the next month's brush, I will use the same brush for two months but dipping the old brush into the new tube so that the mascara is fresh. This works fabulously for me and my annual cost of high-end mascaras is $45. You can't beat that! Supplement with 2 Sephora perks free sample mascaras and you are set all year.

Which of these mascaras are waterproof, and hold curl?
I love the Lash Stash kits!!!!!! I curl my eyelashes and waterproof mascaras will usually hold the curl, was wondering if anyone knew if any of these mascaras were waterproof and held the curl. thank you. xoxo

Most of these are fairly waterproof, unless you are looking for something that holds up while swimming. Haven't swam with any of them, but they don't last through a bath. Most of then will last through an hour-long intense hot yoga or cardio session, the kind where you just drip sweat. Clinique didn't hold up well, neither did the korres or sephora ones. Everything else I've worn during a workout and the only thing I sweat off is my foundation, not mascara. Most of then will also hold your curl very well, although some add a curl, so its a bit extreme if you curl and then apply. Korres takes the curl very well, so does the fiberwig and lancome

A lot of mascaras that don't necessarily bill themselves as "waterproof" are water-resistant, fast-drying, and hold curl well, thanks to all of the technological advances in the beauty world. That's the whole point of the Lash Stash. Get it and test them out for yourself! I doubt you'll be disappointed.

None of them are waterproof.
About the curl- after you curl your lashes, let them sit for a minute or two. Then put on your mascara- pay special attention to the tips & carefully push them backwards to reinforce the curl. This will help the wet mascara set a little and keep that curl in them.
