Questions & Answers for Cover FX Illuminating Setting Powder

Question
Is this good for setting concealer under the eye?
I am between this and the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder - I basically just need something that looks bright and natural to set my concealer.

I've never tried the Laura Mercier powder but I love this for setting my undereye concealer. I'm quite fair and use the lighter shade with great success.

Hi there,

I use concealer and foundation under my eyes and use this as a setting powder. It works VERY well. It covers the cake-y-ness of my foundation under my eyes and doesn't budge all day. No creases what so ever.

This is the reason I bought this powder, to set my concealer. All of the other powders I tried promoted creasing. This one does a pretty good job of setting concealer under my eyes and around my nose, without nearly as much creasing effect as the rest I have tried.

I would go with the Laura mercier secret brightening powder if you are looking to brighten under the eye.

I've used a lot of different products to try and conceal my dark under-eye circles. I love all of CoverFX so I decided to try this setting powder. I use it under my eyes and it not only sets my concealer wonderfully, but it also helps to illuminate and lighten my dark under-eye area. I love it!

Silica is the second ingredient on the list (first is Mica, and third is Camilla Sinensis (green tea) leaf powder).

Yes, I HIGHLY recommend this for dry skin. It's the only setting powder my dry skin can tolerate. It doesn't accentuate dry patches (so long as your taking the normal/ proper moisturizing skin care steps beforehand, of course).

Try the Burberry Sheer Glow instead. I have dry skin and it doesn't bother me like almost every other powder does.

No. it's not.... I went ahead and purchased and the old radiant FX is basically a dark highlighter (high sparkle), this is much more subtle.

I've never tried the Laura mercies powder but I have the light shade and extremely dry skin. I use this to set my concealer under my eyes and this actually makes my skin look amazing and not dry. I highly recommend!

Question
Does this work for darker (tan w/ yellow undertone) skintones?
I'm Filipina with tan skin with a yellow undertone, between a 3y07-3y09. I saw a review of a South Indian woman who said this was more for a bronzer for lighter skinned (medium skin tone) folks. Anyone else tried it want to weigh in. My skin has a good bit of yellow in it and a natural year-round tan, so the last thing I need is a bronzer, then again "tranlucent" powders can look too white on me giving me a weird ghostly look (some call in brightening - white ain't bright is all I can say). I mostly need it to set my make-up especially under the eye, as I have naturally combination- dry skin.

Question
Good product for acne + Cover FX foundation?
I have really bad acne, and I got the cover fx foundation and I absolutely love it! however, it's a little dewey and doesn't dry right away. I tried Laura Mercier's setting powder and it looked horrendous with this setting power; it just looked incredibly cakey and everything and I want to avoid that at all costs. I was wondering if this setting power works well with the cover fx natural finish foundation? and doesn't look cakey or whatnot?
