Question
How do I get them to work?
Okay - they aren't idiot proof. I took the little plug out of the brush, now what? I twisted the bottom...nothing. How do you get product out?????

Haha, I had this problem too. First you take out the little plug and then you have to keep twisting the bottom until the color starts coming out through the bristles ( a lot of times like 10-13 twists

answer 2
You keep turning it (clockwise if you are looking at the bottom of the gloss) SEVERAL times to load the brush for the very first time. You can watch the plunger raise toward the brush end, it will be an obvious distance moved to the eye. It takes a while. Then after the brush is loaded with gloss, it only takes a few turns to load it for application to lips from then on out.

You have to twist many times before the product comes out, but it eventually does and after that, it only takes 2-3 clicks to get the product out. Keep clicking-- they really do work.

You have to twist forever to get the product out, it's very frustrating! Maybe a broken tube?

It looks like you already have some great advice! You will need to keep twisting the bottom of the gloss to dispense the product.

You have to twist several times for first use. Keep clicking away until you see the product come down. After that it only takes a few clicks each time you use it.

answer 6
No. I do not really understand why everyone thinks these are sticky? If you put a lot of the product on.. then yes, it will be sticky. When I opened mine for the first time i had to turn the bottom so many times to get to the product, then after i had the product going, one click, and i had enough to go on my lips. these are glazes not a lipstick, your not supposed to put a lot of product on. just put enough on to cover your lips, blot a bit off if u have too much on, then you should be good to go :) <3 love these

No I would say not sticky. Maybe a little when it goes on as any product would but it loses any stickiness in a few minutes.

Question
Which are glitter/shimmer?
It's hard to see based on the picture online versus what they appear in person. Which have glitter/shimmer? Bc I don't like glitter lip product but I really want to try these Stila glosses. (And for $25, this set is just a little more than what ONE full-size costs!)
I figure I could take the ones I like and give away the shimmers and ones that don't suit me, but if they are all or mostly shimmer, it wouldn't be worth it.

There are three that are glittery: Splendor (a light rosy pink), Jack Frost (a light peach), and Jolly (a light bubblegum pink).

answer 3
splendor and Jack Frost basically drop a shimmer bomb onto your lips. jolly, . sugar plum, and black cherry have a little shimmer but not much. holly, jingle, and joy have such a tiny amount of shimmer you cant even see it head you get your face right up against the tube. hope this helps!

3 of the 8 do not have shimmer, and i'd say that 2 others are lighter on the shimmer. The stars indicate which do not have shimmer. Hope this helps.

Some of these do have a little sparkle in them but it's not overly done. There are definitely some that do not have 'shimmer' in it if you're looking for more of a matte finish.

I saw them in person today, so to answer my own question (and for anyone else curious), most of them have shimmer. I'm glad I found that out before buying because they all do except one maybe two. Not for me but such a cute, great value set.

Question
are these glosses drying? have very dry lips. My skintone is fair, my eyes are blue, my hair texture is fine, yet everyone says it looks thick.
my hair is colored and now that I am getting older(as told by my doctor)my hair is very curly. Was always poker straight. Need to know a good hair product to get out all the tangles after washing. I have to use the conditioner that comes with my hair color to get all the tangles out. Have very sensitive skin and would like some info from others about the products they use for their skin.

They are slightly drying but not too bad. I use them and alternate with lip balm and have no issues. I have red hair and blue eyes myself so I can relate. I use Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioners in my hair and although expensive it is the best for tangles and has really improved the damage I've done to my hair in the past. Hope this helps!
