Are the eyeshadows more shimmery or glittery?
Are the eyeshadows in the set more shimmery/shiny or glittery/sparkly? I want some shine and dimension, but not with glitter pieces on my face. Also, could the cheek colors be used as eyeshadows? Thanks.

I find the eyeshadows to be shimmery, not glittery. The shadows are soft and smooth and blend well. Definitely shiny and shimmery though.

Unfortunately this is one of those palettes where the eyeshadows get glitter *all over your face*. The quality of the shadows is low so the powder goes everywhere. The only way to avoid this is to wet your brush but even then I find that I'm cleaning up my eyes and cheeks for 5 minutes afterwards. It's worse when you see it in natural light. I wouldn't waste your money on this palette. I tried the lastest one from Tart, too, and the eyeshadow does the same thing, only without the glitter. I think I'm done with palettes...the quality just isn't there compared to the singles.

They are shimmery, although some contain slight glitter. There are also a good mix of matte colors in the palette. The cheek colors could definetly be used as eyeshadow especially the highlight colrs.

I would say shimmery/metallic.. I havent noticed glitter fallout. :)

I do find them to be more shimmery than glittery. There are a couple of shades with few very fine micro-glitter in them but nothing heavy glitter. There are a few matte shades in there as well. I hope this helps.

For the most part, yes, with a primer. And I do think you need a primer for decent color payoff, too. They crease on me a bit by the end of the day, but I have very oily eyelids, and even my precious UDPP doesn't block that, but overall, I think you'd be pleased with their staying power.

I find that as long as you put on primer before the eyeshadow, it'll last long... I use stay dont stray by benefit or urban decay eyeshadow primer... Youll get alot of compliments on the shadows... I know I have been...

No, they don't. I have the worst time trying to get the shadows to actually show up, even with primer (Urban Decay's). If you wet your eyeshadow brush, then yes, they'll show up but you have to want that look.

While not the most pigmented of eyeshadows, I do find with building up the color and using a nice primer, the colors last all day on me. The blushes also lasted about 8 hours on me after I used UD's setting spray.

can the blushes be used as eyeshadow?
I wear bronzer but not blush and the blush colors are much closer to the eyeshadow colors I wear than the eyeshadows are. Can the blushes be worn as eyeshadow or would they wear off too quickly?

The blushes are mostly very pink I would not use as eyeshadow

If you don't want glitter all over your eyes and cheeks then you probably won't like most of the eyeshadows in this palette. I have spent a lot more time trying to clean up my eye/cheek area than I have actually putting on the rest of my makeup. It's even worse when you see the result in natural light.

The blushes are the only thing on this palette that last. The eyeshadows are way too sheer and don't last that long. So yeah, you could use the blushes as eye shadows. I wouldn't waste your money on the palette though.

Definitely wear them on eyes! I found that some blushes are too dark for my cheeks, so I already used them on my eyes several times. I haven't noticed any significant wear-off. I think they last just as long as eyeshadows. The texture of eye shadows and blushes are similar anyways... If you are worried about wear-off, use eyeshadow primer with it.

Quality of this palette vs. In the ...palettes
I am considering getting this palette as I tried the deluxe samples of the In the Garden and other In the...palettes. I loved the quality and finish of those but they are 39$ a piece. Is the quality of these shadows the same as the that of the other palettes mentioned?

Yes these are good quality shadows, the only thing is that there are a few repeat shadows from other palettes with a new holiday themed name. Also keep in mind your getting blush & bronzer as well that you probably dont need or will use as much as the shadows on there own. And the mascara isnt so great

there are so many blushes and eyecolor in this kit that you can just about do anything with it. You won't need anything for awhile
