Questions & Answers for Clarisonic Mia2™ Sonic Skin Cleansing Holiday Pore-fection Collection

Question
Is this really supposed to come with 3 brush heads as the description says?
According to your site, the Mia2 Sonic Skin Cleansing Holiday Pore-Fection is supposed to come with a delicate, deep pore and acne brush head. When I received it, it only had the delicate and deep pore brushes.

Hi there! I just got my order after being out of town and I'm missing the acne brush too. Wtf?? Is there any way I could get a copy of the screencaps you took for the item? I naively did NOT see this coming and didn't cap it myself. I am so ticked!!!!

I did not mean to post 2 replies today. For some reason it didn't show in the time the first response did. So You all can ignore one of my two responses. I ended up having to type them over and then the other showed up. So again, my apologies I don't want to look like a raving lunatic over a product. lol

Most people are not going to come here and talk about this becuase Sephora tried to pull this in the most sneaky way possible.

Let me make it simple and clear. This is exactly what happened to us.

We went into the store, put a box on the counter that contained a kit of items they advertised. We pay for it and before it's handed back to us they open the box, take out an item, close the box and hand it back to us.

Not only did they do that, they did it with their backs turned, then changed the ad completely. Hoping you won't notice your missing item that you paid for and if you do, when you go back into the store and look at the kits, they removed the item out of all of them. So it must be your misunderstanding.

Some people would walk out of the store thinking it is their fault. Others who know darn well what they purchased go up to the counter and confront them. Instead of understanding that by law they have to give you what you paid for, they throw their hands in the air and just expect you to except something totally unexceptionable.

You don't remove items, and throw your hands in the air when we figure it out! That's exactly what happened to us and Sephora can not just toss their hands in the air. They MUST send you what you paid for!

I have print outs directly from the website that stated the 3 brushes in the description of what you get. It's printed with the date and everything.

Sephora can NOT send you missing items, change the add after you paid for it and not give you what you paid for. They can not do this. They HAVE to send us what they advertised and what we paid for. There are laws against false advertising and bait and switch actions like this.

I will be looking into taking action against Sephora if they don not stop this. Any others who had this happen to them please speak up. I know most do not speak up in the Q&A section and reviews are being filtered as mine has not shown yet.

This is WRONG Sephora. You HAVE to send these people the brushes they paid for. Just like in a store. If you bring something to the counter that is marked a certain price, they can not then change that price.

This is beyond that and they need to do the right things.

BEWARE...They falsely advertised 3 brushes. When I purchased this item I did a print out of the page including my order with dates. I do this anytime I make a purchase as a gift for someone.

I did NOT receive 3 brushes. I also didn't receive the gift wrap bag I paid for.

Totally disgusted to then come and see this happened to others and instead of fixing the error with those who purchased, they simply change the add and claim mistakes. That is wrong, you are supposed to give your customer the products they PAID for. I paid for an exclusive package with 3 brushes, a berry colored Mia2 and skin care products.

The acne brush is the one they did not send me and when I came here bewildered to find out and saw it was the one removed, then looked at my print out I wondered who the heck I had ordered from. Sephora, this is terrible.

That add was up for a very long time. There is no excuse at all.
I am returning it. And I refuse to buy anything like this from Sephora again. I was cheated, angry and disgusted.

Also be careful with this limited edition, exclusive stuff they try to pour on these product. The color is NOT Berry, it's a washed out rose color. The photos they show do not match the color on this unit. Also the skin care that was supposed to make this and even bigger more amazing exclusive deal are TINY. I mean near sample size.

You can find wonderful deals if you look around. I started doing this tonight after being so angry and deciding to return it and realized Sephora is certainly NOT giving the best deal with their limited edition and exclusive claims. Especially when they don't even send you what they claim is so wonderful. Missing brushes, tiny sample size bottles and colors that are shockingly different from the photos.

To top it off this particular page is not allowing me to post a review. So I greatly apologize for spilling it all here but I am FURIOUS and I refuse to be blocked from letting others know.

I had the same issue. I just got off the phone with sephora customer service and I was told the description is wrong, it only comes with two brushes. I'm sure it has been brought to their attention before me so I don't know why they haven't changed the description, it's false advertisement.

The Mia2 comes with 2 speeds - low and high. The power switch has a light around it that lights up when in use. If using it on high, the upper half of the light is visible. If using on low, the lower half is. The unit automatically runs for :60 seconds. First two :20 second cycles with a pause in between to indicate you should move to the next location on your face. Then followed by two :10 second cycles, also with a pause in between. I do one cheek, side of nose and jawline for each of the first 2 cycles, then chin / lip and over to forehead for the second to :10 second cycles.

Question
Everything was dumped into a 'product box' with no packing baggies or styrofoam or anything, is this right?
I just got my package after eing out of town for the last couple of weeks and when I opened the delivery box, the actual package box was a squished lump of a thing. All the products were dumped inside (minus the third brush that was supposed to come with the set according to the original description) with absolutely no packing materials whatsoever. The mia was thrown in the box without so much as a plastic bag around it, the brushes were rolling around, and to be honest it looked like this was a repackaging or a return. Is this typical? I wouldn't think a $210 valued item would be packaged like a lump of junk the way this was.

Honestly, I'm livid at the packaging for this nearly $200 machine, and at the fact that I'm missing the acne brush that was advertised when I placed this order. If anyone else has ordered this product, can you please tell me if you also received a badly damaged product box with all the contents loose and unceremoniously shoved inside?

I didn't have a printout of the original description, but I went to my local Sephora anyway because the packaging was terrible and to be honest I think it was a return. The seal was loose before I opened the package myself, and the shipping box came from an address that had the word 'returns' in it. I went to the store, and they did exchange the original squashed set for me, but I'm still angry about the missing brush. Yep, the one from the B&M store was also missing its third brush. I think I might wind up returning it entirely, and purchase from another store tat isn't doing the old bait and switch. Ugh.

answer 2
I can only talk about the 3rd Brush because at this point my anger is so extensive over such a headache I don't remember how they packaged it.

The brush...they changed the kit removing one of the brushes off the page with out notification even though the 3 brushes were listed for a long time. They didn't send anyone 3 brushes even when the listing stayed up. They never notified anyone when they changed it either so the only way I knew I wasn't crazy is my print out of the page on the day I ordered. Showing all 3 brushes by name.

They changed it after I paid for it and it was in route to my house.

I had left reviews to try and inform people of what I experienced and what I received but they get deleted. In them I tell people to try what my local Sephora told me when I got fed up and returned it.

If you have a print out of the page showing the promised 3 brushes go into a store and they may give you the 3rd promised brush. If not you can still try to explain the situation. I would say show them the reviews but anyone who has talked about it gets deleted and others who give 5 stars proclaiming 3 brush promise never existed (becuase they don't see it now) stay up. So it's making it a lot harder.

Personally if you really want to try and keep it just go into the store, explain it all and tell them you want a new machine that wasn't shipped like garbage and you want your third brush. Be very nice and explain. Each one has it's own owner so each store can make their own decision.

I was really ticked off about it all but the way they handled it is what made me return it. My Sephora Store was very nice and understood everything including why I wanted my money back. 3rd brush or not.

Question
Will this irritate extremely sensitive skin?
I see a lot of reviews compare this to the results of a facial. I tried getting a facial once and my skin was burning so they had to take it off. I was told I probably have mild rosacea. My face had red patches over it for the rest of the day.

I would say use it once or twice a week, until or if you build up a tolerance. MAKE SURE to use the gentle brush head and use it with only very light pressure, you should know by feel what your skin can handle.

A friend of mine who also swears by the Clairsonic system (and has sensitive skin) uses the delicate brush head with amazing results. The sensitive was a little harsh. Also, I think some may have a tendency to push their Clairsonic on to their skin. It is cleansing without the need to push it down. Doing so may likely cause some irritation. I use Philosopy Purity cleanser with mine and it works wonders.

This feels like it is intended for someone a little older who uses cosmetics and may have signs of aging skin. At 12, even with a lot of acne, she might not need something this powerful. I don't think it would damage, just that it might be too strong.
