Questions & Answers for GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD™ CLEARING TREATMENT

Question
How long does it take to REALLY notice some skin improvement?
I have mild acne in my t-zone area more breakouts on my forehead (Thank god for bangs) and I only used one sample of this and did notice it worked instantly on my blackheads but I still can see whiteheads on my forehead.... My question is asking if anyone that used this noticed a difference in whiteheads? I know one time won't make a crazy difference but I wanted to find out first before I invest in a full size... I only have one more sample to test sadly. Please let me know :)

I saw some results after the first use. I had two zits fall off of my face, revealing clean skin underneath. I use this as well as a light moisturizer and cleanser. I AVOID exfoliating face wash, it just disrupts my skin even more and increases my acne. Also, Clinique's spot healing gel works wonders for nightly use. You only apply this on the acne itself, not over the entire face.

you'll still have to extract to see results. not all black heads and white heads just come out on their own. sometimes, whether we want to or not, we have to squeeze our pimples. i think this product makes it easier to extract.

I haven't used this for long enough to notice a change in whiteheads, however just letting you know that having bangs can actually exacerbate your problem! The oils in your hair are getting all over your forehead and can cause some pretty bad pore clogging! I do think this product combined with other anti acne skin care products could help take care of your problem.

I saw results overnight. Because it detoxes your skin it might cause more breakouts at first before your skin gets better. And it gets better quicker after using the mask. You might just have to deal with a few more breakouts but they will go away fast. Just speaking from my own experience!

I saw a significant improvement on blemishes that would have turned into whiteheads had I not used the mask. I didn't have any fully formed whiteheads but any that would have come to the surface were stopped in their tracks and my skin has been smooth and acne free.

How full is the jar when purchased?
Hi, I purchased a jar and it came filled up about 1/2inch lower than the neck of the jar. I am concerned that the item might have been used before.
How full is the jar when it's brand new??

Thank you!

Mine also came looking much more empty than I expected. It also had dried mud around the edge of the plastic cover the first time I opened it. I am concerned it was used but it looks like it does come relatively empty. Unfortunate when you are paying a lot for the product.

Let's just say, use sparingly. The packaging is deceptively heavy, which accounts for the jar, more than product. I will likely not purchase this again only because while I find the product itself works great, I find the price is inordinately high for what it's worth.

I have oily to combination skin and this worked wonders for me! My skin felt more even and, for once, I woke up with no excess oil around my nose and forehead. I suggest to use this at night after washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Then, wipe off the mask after 20-30 minutes of wearing it with a hot, wet wash cloth then immediately put on your daily moisturizer. It worked wonders on my combination skin.

Question
What is the texture of this product suppose to be like.
I purchased this product yesterday and used it for the first time this morning. The texture of the product is not smooth like I thought it would be. I stirred the mask to see if that would mix everything up but when I put it on my face there are chunks of something--like the mask partially dried in e jar. Is this normal, like an extra exfloiant?

It sounds to me like your GlamGlow is drying out. I have noticed that when mine dries out I can add a tiny touch of water to it and its fine. If it is a new jar I would exchange it.

The item I purchased also had the same chunks in it. You can stir it to make them smaller, but I think it is just the tea leaves they use in the product that create the chunks....I have looked on other websites and everyone has the same comment.

If you use it as a spot treatment you could probably get hundreds of uses out of it. If you use it as a full face mask I'd estimate about 10-20. To use less and conserve this product I recommend applying it with a foundation brush, definitely saves more than using fingers!

Question
Does this help with clogged pores?
Hi, I'm considering purchasing this product but clearly the price isn't cheap so I'd love to know if it helps with my biggest problem, which is clogged pores. I don't have a lot of active, red acne / pimples, but I do have little bumps which I believe to be clogged pores. Does anyone know if this product helps with that? Also, if anyone have any product recs, I'd very much appreciate it! :)

I had the same exact problem as you, I don't have red acne spots, but for some reason my skin broke out in clogged pores under my skin all over my face that made my skin look really bumpy. I couldn't find anything that worked so I finally went into Sephora to ask an associate for help. She recommended the Fresh Umbrian Clay Facial Soap Bar and it was amazing! Within two days those little bumps started to disappear. She also recommended the Korres Pomegranate Toner to follow and then this mask a few times a week. With those three products together my skin is back to normal almost. I highly recommend the Fresh Umbrian Clay Soap for the clogged pores.

Question
Are there supposed to be big gritty bits in this mud?
Is this mask supposed to have big gritty chunks in it, or is it supposed to be a smooth mud? I just got mine and it has large gritty bits in it. I saw an ad for this mask and in the ad I didn't notice it being bumpy in texture, so I was wondering if I got an old batch.
Any help would be great. Thanks!

Yes! I highly recommend it! If you're skeptical, ask the ladies at Sephora to give you a sample, and give it a try tonight. And I guarantee you will see a difference. I wouldn't say that it entirely removes your blackheads, but it brings them closer to the surface so you can squeeze them out SO much easier!

Yes. Definitely worth the money because it's great for black heads and pretty much everything else you can think of. It's amazing. I use it once every other week, bought it 5 months ago and still haven't even put a dent in it yet. The great thing about it is, you don't need a lot. A little goes a long way, that's why the jar is so small. So don't worry. You definitely get enough bang for your buck. Plus after the first time of using it and you realize it's not your cup of tea, Sephora is really great about accepting returns and getting your money back.

I can't say for blackheads specifically, but I used this product to get rid of white heads and I honestly did not notice a difference. I have very oily, sensitive skin. I found that Biore strips were much more effective in unclogging pores. I really don't understand the hype. If you're going to purchase it, I would try getting it discounted. I bought it at 10% off with a VIB sale and I still did not think it was worth it. Hope this is helpful.
