Absolutely! Naked is gorgeous but doesn't have many mattes to blend and highlight. To me this completes the Naked eyeshadow experience:). You won't be repeating any colors and you'll probably love this too

I think it is definitely worth it!!! I looked at the Naked palette 1 & 2 and I don't think they have all the same colors. Also, this could be really useful for on the go because you don't want to have to bring a huge palette along with you. Where this one is small and can easily fit into your purse. I definitely recommend this even if you have Naked palette 1 & 2.

It totally worth it! I literally carry my Basics palette to everywhere! I also fill in my brows with "Faint". The eyeshadows are super pigmented and blendable so basically you don't even need a primer! I recommend it to most of my friends and they are all in love with it :)

answer 6
I think it's worth it, I have the Naked and Naked2 palettes as well. To be honest I only use those palettes when I going for an "over the top" look and the Basics palette is excellent for day to day make up wearing or even it you're looking to create a subtle but dramatic look. I like this palette a lot. This palette picks up for the lack of matte colours that are available in the Naked and Naked2 palettes. The shadow colours Naked 2 and Faint (the 5 and 6th colours in the palette) as excellent for contouring the eyelid. It's small and compact, which I like as well. I wouldn't necessarily carry around my Naked or Naked2 palettes in my purse but I do on a regular basis carry around this palette.

I was greatly disappointed with it. Even with a good eyelid primer, the matte colors wear off by the end of my work day (if I could, I'd reapply at noon!). I've honestly had a much better experience with drug store matte shadows. I was disappointed enough, that I'm not even going to bother buying Naked or Naked2. (Stila, on the other hand, as amazing little travel palettes, that have similar colors to the UD naked palettes, and they last all day! Plus, they're $10 instead of 27!)

Save your money. The Naked Basics is nothing like the first two Naked Palettes. For me personally, this was a one time try out before i decided i hated it. It depends on the person it. It does have an odd smell but I don't think it would be described as urine. More chalky/powder smell, which is pretty reasonable since it is an eyeshadow. You can't even smell it when applied so it isn't of much importance when purchasing.

If you are a good color artist you do not needt his. However, this basic palette is PERFECT! WHY? Because it's the best base colors I have ever used. I've tried the larger palettes and its too much to think about in the morning. It's easier to use the basic palette and other colors I have at home or buy to accent this BASIC base palette by itself. Again, use the basic as a base. You can leave it alone for a natural day look. Or you can add a smoky eye look by adding pops of colors (from browns, corals, pinks, plums, purples and blues).

This palette does not come with an applicator. But it is a cheaper version of Naked 1 & 2. There isn't a recommended brush for this palette. Really it doesn't matter what brush you use for this shadow. You could by an applicator from Sephora or you could go some where else. Really it doesn't make a difference. No applicator brush. Because the colors are matte, it is best to use a primer like Laura Mercier's that matches your skin. Othewise, the colors are so muted they would fade into your skin.
I would recommend a flat shadow brush, or a blender brush to wash color over the lid.

This does not come with a brush. The best brush I have found in Canada is from the Dollarama store and it has short, flat, soft bristles with a slightly rounded end. With it, a little powder goes a long way: you only need to touch it to the shadow, not drag it across the colour. I have two for both my Naked palettes: Basic and Naked II.
