I bought mine at my local Sephora store. Call ahead and make sure your Sephora carries Laura Mercier. I know some of the Sephoras in the JCP stores do not.

I bought mine in-store. I checked online to see if it was in stock, and it said it was, but it's new enough that it wasn't on display yet. A very nice SA got it from the back for me.

Question
Darker shade as eyeliner?
Can the darker matte shades be used as eyeliner (wet/dry)?
Has anyone tried these wet?

I have not tried this wet, but the darker colors are highly pigmented and I believe could be easily used as eyeliners.

I have used the 3 darkest shades as liner. I have only used them dry, but the salesperson at the store said I could dampen my brush and use it that way as well. Using the colors dry as a liner has stayed well on my upper lids, not so great on the lower eye, but my skin can be oily and this is a common problem for me with most liners. I have also used a pencil liner and gone over it with the shadows to set and intensify my look. This way works best for me.

Yup, I used as an eyeliner (dry). Worked pretty well, I used a very skinny brush.

Yes, the darker colors can be worn both wet and dry. The navy looks amazing as an eyeliner very pigmented!!!

Question
Row of mattes comparable to Lorac/UD?
I'm eyeing this palette specifically for the row of mattes but also considering Lorac Pro and now UD's new Naked matte palette. Price-wise, UD wins but I feel like the shade range is best on this LM artist palette. Does anyone have any recommendations to make on this palette vs Lorac Pro? UD is prob too new to compare at this point. Thanks!

I have the new UD Naked (Basic) palette and I can compare. The new Naked is nice, but not AMAZING. This LM palette is amazing! More colors, a wider range, more variety in the looks you can create.

I think I know the Lorac palette to which you refer. It, too, is tempting.

The Lorac palette is awesome b/c it has more colors than the UD Naked 2 palette...and I'm a HUGE UD fan!! I am a make up junkie and prefer mattes over shimmers and I think you would love this palette.

LM FTW. No offense to UD. I just always lived the feel of LM eye makeup. I have a few UD products, but I like how the LM colors blend altogether more.

For a natural, every day look for work I love using Vanilla Nuts as a base and blending Cafe Au Lait lightly throughout the outer corner and up into the crease. If I want a darker smokey, I blend either Coffee Ground (dark brown), Rich Coffee (looks black on the skin) or Deep Night (Navy) just on the outer corner. These come out fairly dark so just a dab on my fair skin is all I need, unless I'm going for the more dramatic look.

For a bronzed summery look I love Sunlit as base and blending Cameo throughout the crease.

These are really the only colors that have enough pigment to show up on my skin, but they are so pretty it made the pallette worth it. The Cafe Au Lait and Sunlit are my favorite.

Most of the LM just as great as a "one swipe" and add liner such as Coffee Grounds, then out the door. I find Plum Smoke & African Violet and GUAVA best as a one swipe plus liner used alone. Vanilla Nuts is a great solo or add mix with the Cafe Au Lait. The Coffee Grounds is my favorite liner. GUAVA is also a great all over plus add a liner. The pink and cafe au lait is a great mixer

The shadows have mica and talc, not sure about parabens. LM is a cruelty free makeup brand, however.

I didn't see any parabens listed on the box unless they are called something else. It does say ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested to minimize the risk of allergy and irritation. I bought it to try cuz my eyes are very sensitive and haven't had any problems. The only thing it says about animal testing is that the finished product isn't tested on animals. I was hoping that none of the ingredients were......no way to know.
