Is a sharpener required for this type of eyeliner?
Is this a glide on eyeliner where you roll up at the bottom? Or is this an eyeliner that you sharpen?

You need a sharpener for these sort of pencils - the pigment is encased in wood.

These are pencils that need sharpening... they do smudge! They don't stay on all day and move around a lot! Colors are muddy and dark... not vivid at all.. returned my purchase... I use all the liquid UD eyeliners and and primer and have for years... very disappointing pencils!

I am not sure about the water but i do use a make up remover to take it off. Easily provides tight line or smudge.

I have no problem with tight lining with these. On the lower lashline, if you want a really sharp line you may want to sharpen or even put in the freezer first, as Urban Decay liners are very soft. On the waterline you should let them sit for at least 15 seconds before you blink to let them set. No liner is going to stay on your water line all day but these stay a good couple hours.

I haven't used the black one for this purpose but i have used the 2 of the colorful ones and they go on great and stay there for quit some time. They transfer to the lash line a bit but still looks great because it gives the appearance that they are still lined. In fact i had trouble getting it off my lash line and once from my waterline when I intended to wear it for a short period of time. Also it is safe to use with contacts and sensitive eyes.

These can be used on the lower inner lid. It doesn't last long on me, but my daughter uses the black there and it lasts for hours!

I don't know if its recommended but I've tightlined with Perversion and have used Mushroom on the waterline and it was fine for me. Stash, LSD and Junkie have fine glitter particles in them, so I might stay away from those on the waterline. Unless you have crazy sensitive eyes, I think any of these would be ok on the lower lash line, just again, maybe not the glittery ones on the waterline.

Yes you can. Just line them and try not to blink for a few seconds so it sets. It takes a few seconds to set before it's smudegproof.

Totally, though the richer greens/plums/black show up best. Mushroom is cute but too light for dark complections in the inner rim.

The Ocho Loco set is an online exclusive & will not be stocked in stores. I imagine that Sephora will have the smoked liner set soon, but I don't know if that will be available in stores or not.

I wouldn't recomment it for your water line (lower inner lid), but by all means use on the lower lid and smudge or use multiple colors.
