I have sensitive skin that's generally drier so I need lots of moisture. I do my normal skincare routine (cleanse, tone, serum, and then do face oil with moisturizer). I use a face primer then use this tinted primer. I probably don't need to do both, but I like using the Sunday Riley primer like a tinted moisturizer rather than an actual primer!

This goes on smooth and creamy but it dries down quite matte. While my skin is combo/oily, I find that at least a light moisturizer is necessary an doesn't interfere with coverage nor finish. Something heavier, like an oil based facial cream might cause it to slide around.

If you sweat a lot or get oily, there is no need to use a moisturizer under this.

Is it good for oily skin?

I have oily, sensitive skin with a few blemishes. Tinted moisturizers are too heavy for me causing me to break out and I'm an oil slick by the end of the day so I stay away from them. Would this work for me?

I would say yes, if you use the product with a powder over it. I have normal to dry skin and depending on the look I want (totally matte or semi-dewy) I add translucent powder over the t-zone when I use this.

But for oilier skin, I think you would need a good coating of mattifying powder all over the face with this.

That said, I don't think it will ADD any oiliness. It's actually quite a balancing formula. Hope that helps you out a bit! ;)

My skin is not oily so I can't answer from experience, but I do think that this formula is so lightweight that it doesn't clog my pores. I would suggest asking for a sample at a beauty counter like maybe Barney's? You could try it out first before spending the $. I know that the Sephora store I go to doesn't carry this line in store.
